Join us for a meaningful summer as the Camp Nurse at Four Winds * Westward Ho on beautiful Orcas Island, WA. This role is at the heart of camp life. The Nurse along with our Nurse Assistant/EMT cares for campers and staff, support health and safety across camp, and be a trusted, steady presence in a vibrant, unplugged community. As the lead Camp Nurse, you’ll oversee all health and wellness needs, including administering medications, maintaining organized health records, coordinating care with local providers, and communicating with families when needed. You’ll support staff in responding to everyday health concerns, help lead health and safety training during staff week, and manage the day-to-day operations of our Health House. You’ll also collaborate closely with camp leadership, supervise a Nurse Assistant/ EMT, and support health needs for off-site trips.

We’re looking for a licensed Registered Nurse (RN or higher) who is organized, communicative, and enjoys working with children in a dynamic, outdoor setting. Candidates must hold a current RN license and be licensed in Washington State or willing to obtain Washington State licensure prior to the start of camp. Experience in school, ER, public health, or similar settings is helpful. This is a summer role, June 12- August 20, where you’ll live and work in a close-knit camp community that values simplicity, connection, and time outdoors. The Camp Nurse is housed in a private room with a private bathroom within our Health House, providing both comfort and proximity to care.
