We are filling multiple positions now: one Full-Time Year-round Warehouse position and two Full-Time Year-round Retail Supervisors positions. For these Supervisory positions, you must have strong Retail experience in a Toursim setting. We are also hiring Retail Associates with a minimum of 6 months Retail experiince for our 2022 Summer season. The Summer season postions go from May to Sept 2022. We have housing options available for both seasons. (***Please note that we do not participate in any overseas Jobs programs like J1 or H2B***)

  • Retail Supervisor

    Retail

    $18.00 / hour

    Position Overview:

    We are looking for an experienced Retail Supervisor who can help our Store Manager run day-to-day operations while being friendly, communicative, analytical and customer service oriented. Your focus will be to help create memorable experiences for all our Guests while maintaining a safe, clean and dynamic store that reflects our brand and contributes to the overall success and profitability of the Store.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with Store Manager to develop daily tasks for staff and ensure that the tasks are performed correctly and in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of customer service.
    • Assists with the receiving, tagging and merchandising of all incoming merchandise and communicates with Management to ensure that all received products are placed on the retail floor as soon as possible
    • Maintains consistent customer service standard and company branding.
    • Ensures all products are priced correctly.
    • Work with team members to ensure that all products are stocked to correct levels and merchandised on the sales floor per branding in an appealing and dynamic manner.
    • Cashiers when necessary to expedite the processing of guest’s purchasing.
    • Share new information with staff about new products and procedures utilizing the Store Binder at the Registers.
    • Maintain full understanding of the point-of-sale system and shipping procedures and status.
    • Follow and implement all Wage and Hour standards/procedures; to include meal breaks and schedules to maximize floor coverage and customer service.
    • Train new hires on POS system, products, overall safety and job responsibilities
    • May be required to work overtime, nights, and/or weekends.
    • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 12 months managing and training multiple people in a retail environment.
    • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills along with basic computer skills.
    • Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills
    • Understands the importance of Customer Service
    • Solid work ethic, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.
    • An ability to analyze sales reports and strategically problem solve
    • Self-motivated and works independently with minimal supervision
    • Typical working conditions are standing for extended periods of time. Lifting 30 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
    • Must have flexible work hours; day, night and/or weekends while always being punctual and on time to work
    • Must successfully pass a background check.

    Travel Requirements:

    Bank Deposits & Post Office runs. Must be insurable and have valid Driver’s license.

  • Warehouse Supervisor

    Position Overview:

    The team is growing and we’re looking for a friendly, communicative, and customer service-oriented Merchandising & Replenishment Manager that can keep our store stocked and looking great so that we can create memorable experience for our Guest. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing our Retail Team, interacting with our Guests, and will be contributing to the overall success and profitability of the Store.

    Responsibilities:

    • Help our Guest find exactly what they need, right when they need it by keeping the store stocked, merchandised priced correctly.
    • Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a visually appealing, dynamic, clean and safe environment. Maintain a safe, clean and organized Receiving & Warehouse area.
    • Focus on Receiving, Inventory processing, Replenishment and Merchandise presentation.
    • Partner with the Store Manager to direct and prioritize the daily activities of the Team as needed
    • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the Company dress code at all times.
    • Opens / closes the Store and carry out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies including: training, planning, assigning and directing work; participating in evaluating performance of staff; addressing complaints and resolving problems

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a retail inventory or merchandising position.
    • Experienced in managing and training a Team of at least 4-6.
    • Excellent verbal/written communication, computer and organizational skills 
    • Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills 
    • Understands the importance of Customer Service 
    • Solid work ethic, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.

  • Retail Sales Associate

    Position Overview:

    We are looking for a friendly, communicative, and customer service-oriented Retail Sales Associate to help the FTT Team provide great experiences and share our love of Alaska with Locals and Visitors. In this position, you will be an essential part of our Retail Team, interacting with our Guests, and contributing to the overall success of our Store.

    Responsibilities:

    • Able to work with all types of Guests and provide courteous, friendly, and efficient guest service.
    • Maintain consistent customer service standards an Company branding.
    • Work with the Team to ensure that all products are accurately priced and stocked to correct levels and that merchandising is always dynamic and appealing.
    • Learn and actively share details about characteristics and origin of merchandise
    • Wrap and Prepare merchandise purchased for mailing on request.
    • Assist with all opening or closing procedures.
    • Assume all responsibility for gift shop bank/till.
    • Keep the Store neat, orderly and safe.
    • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
    • Full understanding of the point of sale system
    • May be required to work overtime, nights, and/or weekends.
    • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
