Duties
Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met consistently
Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to uphold hygiene standards
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely service
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal assembly and delivery during busy service hours
Requirements
Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment, with a focus on kitchen operations
Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
Experience with meal preparation, food industry standards, and culinary techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
