Tamarack Farm is Farm & Wilderness’s teen camp with about 40 campers each session, of all genders, ages 15-17. We have about 18 seasonal staff including counselors, immersion leads, cooks, and leadership all 21+. The heart of the TF program is our Immersions, which are badass, project-based learning. At TF we focus on developing Leadership, Growth, and a deep sense of Belonging while practicing the relational skills needed for living in a community. We believe teens are wildly capable and it’s our job to provide mentoring and a safe container for them to really thrive.
Position Summary: The Tamarack Farm Head Cook manages the Tamarack Farm kitchen. The Head Cook is responsible for setting up the kitchen, ordering the food, cooking, supervising the cooks and closing the kitchen at the end of the summer. The TF Head Cook works in close collaboration with the TF Director and leadership team to make sure the kitchen functions are in alignment with the camp schedule, program, and F&W’s overall philosophies.
