Kayak & E-Bike Guide — Door County Kayak Tours

At Door County Kayak Tours, we lead guests through sea caves, sunset paddles, and scenic peninsula rides... and we're hiring guides who want their workday to look like a postcard. If you love big water, quiet trails, and the kind of people who book adventures on their vacation, you'll fit right in. This is a chance to share Door County's wild side with curious travelers, build serious outdoor skills, and finish every shift with a story worth telling.

What you'll do: Lead guided kayak tours along Door County's shoreline and pedal-assist e-bike rides through the peninsula. Handle safety briefings, gear setup, group management, and storytelling along the way. Help with daily fleet care, launch logistics, and keeping guests stoked from check-in to check-out.

Who we're looking for: Friendly, dependable, safety-minded outdoor lovers. Comfortable on the water and on a bike. Strong communicators who can read a group and keep things fun. Prior guiding, lifeguard, EMT, or hospitality experience is a plus; willingness to learn is a must. Expect intensive kayak skills, rescue scenarios, trip leadership, trailer driving, e-bike route training, reception basics, and a deep dive into local ecology. Come ready to learn and bring something you love to share. Must be 18+, hold a valid driver's license, pass a swim test, be able to lift 70 pounds.

Where: Based in Jacksonport, Door County, Wisconsin. Tours run along the peninsula's Lake Michigan shoreline and surrounding routes.

When: Seasonal position, May through August. Including weekends and holidays.
