Come live and work in the stunning natural beauty of Orcas Island. Doe Bay Café is seeking experienced, professional servers for long-term positions at our fine dining restaurant, which features a true Seed-to-Table program. We highlight seasonal, organic, and locally sourced ingredients—including produce from our on-site garden and meat and seafood from premier local farms and fisheries.
What We're Looking For:
We’re hiring motivated, detail-oriented hospitality professionals with fine dining experience who are passionate about food, wine, and exceptional service. Candidates must be dependable, team-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced open kitchen environment. We are looking for year round AND seasonal employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service
Demonstrate in-depth menu and wine knowledge, including local purveyors and ingredients
Take and serve orders with accuracy and professionalism
Make thoughtful menu recommendations and upsell when appropriate
Prepare and maintain a clean, well-organized service station
Participate in side work, cleaning tasks, and inventory stocking
Adhere to health and safety regulations and restaurant standards
Communicate and collaborate effectively with kitchen and FOH staff
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of fine dining experience
Strong multitasking and communication skills
Excellent customer service and attention to detail
Comfortable living and working in a rural, communal setting
Compensation & Benefits:
$17.13/hour + tips
Employee housing: $200/month (valued at $700/month)
