Imagine spending a year in the heart of Berkeley while helping bring timeless wisdom into contemporary life. Dharma College is seeking a motivated and purpose-driven Marketing Program Intern to join our community and contribute to a unique educational institution that has served students for more than 16 years.
Founded by Tibetan Buddhist teacher Tarthang Tulku, Dharma College explores the understanding of mind, self, and human potential through education, contemplative practice, and dialogue. Our mission is to bridge the wisdom traditions of Asia with contemporary Western inquiry, making these teachings accessible and relevant for today's world.
As a Marketing Program Intern, you will work directly with the Executive Director and our small collaborative team to help grow the College's national and international reach. You'll gain practical experience in digital marketing, newsletters, SEO, website management, social media, course promotion, event marketing, and community engagement while contributing to programs that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
The internship is full-time and based at our beautiful 35,000-square-foot campus in downtown Berkeley, California. The position begins as soon as available and is designed as a one- to two-year internship, allowing you to develop significant professional skills while becoming part of a vibrant educational community.
We offer a modest monthly stipend, housing in downtown Berkeley, food support, and annual holiday breaks. Living and working alongside faculty, staff, visiting scholars, and students provides an immersive experience that combines professional development with personal growth.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys learning, is highly organized, curious, creative, and excited by mission-driven work. Whether your interests lie in communications, education, nonprofit leadership, contemplative studies, or digital marketing, you will have the opportunity to take on real responsibility, receive close mentorship, and contribute to projects with lasting impact. We are looking for someone who has previous experience as a Marketing coordinator and Director and wishes to give back your experience to developing an online Buddhist institution who aims to get out to a wider audience. This is about someone who wishes to bring their professional experience into a world where wisdom is needed more than ever to benefit all beings.
If you're looking for more than just an internship—if you're seeking a place where your work supports education, community, and a deeper understanding of the human experience—we would love to hear from you.
