Principle Purpose of Job

The Housekeeping Manager promotes DTR service standards, serving as a role model for Housekeeping staff as well as maintaining the integrity of the Ranch and Housekeeping operations, policies and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the Housekeeping Department for Guest Rooms and Common Areas at Devil’s Thumb Ranch.

• Responsible for the training, scheduling, supervising, rewarding, motivating and counseling of housekeeping staff according to DTR standards. 

• Define and implement cleaning standards and schedules. 

• Perform in the capacity of any of the positions he/she supervises on an as needed basis.

• Track and maintain labor expenditure and productivity within budget guidelines.

• Resolve guest and employee complaints promptly. 

• Responsible for weekly schedule of staff. 

• Ensure flow of communication within and between departments. 

• Maintain supply of materials, equipment needed for housekeeping. 

• Designate and maintain relationships with vendors. 

• Report any incident which appears suspicious or could endanger the security of the Resort. 

• Ensure payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner.

• Benchmark best practices of other competitors.

• Continually create, develop & enhance policies/procedures/processes in housekeeping department.

Position Requirements:

• Three years housekeeping supervisory experience preferred, high school diploma required.

• Valid Driver's License & clean driving record required.

• Property management software experience preferred.

• Must be computer literate and able to learn new systems when needed.

• Microsoft office software experience required.

• Experience serving as a positive role model by behaving in a professional manner and by adhering to all policies and procedures. 

• Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time and life up to 50 lbs regularly.
