    Deer Valley Resort is hiring for our Winter 2021-22 season.  We have Ski Perks, Restaurant discounts and much more! Join our team and make new like-minded friends. Housing available on a first come first serve basis. We are anticipating a busy winter season and look forward to growing our team.

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:  To ensure guest, member and employee satisfaction in Housekeeping.  To provide a safe environment for our guests, members and employees. To achieve budgeted profitability by adhering to Service and Safety Standards and exercising fiscal responsibility and sound management practices.

    SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Bi-lingual preferred
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks
    • Must have previous housekeeping experience
    • Must be able to lift 25-35 lbs.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Demonstrate proactive guest, member and employee problem resolution with urgency, respect and empathy
    • Clean townhomes thoroughly
    • Turn in all lost and found items, properly tagged, to the housekeeping office at the end of scheduled shift
    • Ensure when leaving townhomes, all doors and windows are closed and locked, thermostats set at 60 degrees in the summer and 68 degrees in the winter and  fire place flues are closed
    • All keys will be checked in and out on a daily basis
    • Stock townhomes with appropriate supplies as specified by company standards
    • Complete all assigned guest services by timeframes established by department
    • Respond to guest needs in an appropriate, professional, courteous manner
    • Report any items requiring replacement and or repair, or any damage to HSKP Manager or assistant manager
    • Assist in maintaining all specified linen/closets rooms neat and orderly by putting away all supplies and linen at the end of scheduled shift
    • Ensure safety procedures, in accordance with safety training guidelines, are followed

  • Snowmaker Level I - Mountain Operations

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:  Maintain, move and set up snow guns and hoses for extensive snowmaking operation. Make rounds in vehicles and/or snowmobiles to monitor weather conditions during snowmaking.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Must be safety conscious and have a mechanical aptitude
    • Heavy equipment experience preferred 
    • Understanding or development of snowmaking/removal objectives and techniques 
    • Receptive and responsive to instruction 
    • Dependable and able to work well with others 
    • Physically fit and a tolerance for working in extreme conditions
    • Competently and conscientiously perform the required equipment inspections and servicing and record results accurately and completely
    • Safe operation of snowmaking equipment and snowmobiles

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:  To constantly monitor and evaluate Deer Valley Resort’s ski terrain with an emphasis on safety. To respond to guests medical needs in a professional manner. To be available for other on mountain emergencies i.e. avalanches, lift evacuation etc.

    SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Current OEC or EMT certification
    • Current CPR certification
    • Advanced skiing ability – able to transport a guest in a toboggan down any Deer Valley area in any snow condition
    • Ability to work effectively with other Ski Patrollers and all other Deer Valley Resort employees
    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude toward Deer Valley and its core values
    • Good physical conditioning with ability to consistently lift 50 lbs
    • Ability to write legibly and to professionally complete all Ski Patrol forms
    • Ability to learn basic knowledge of snow physics and explosives
    • Ability to operate a snowmobile

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Administer first aid in a professional and timely manner
    • Perform lift evacuations as needed
    • Perform skier safety education including speed control
    • Enforce the skier responsibility code
    • Conduct snow surveys and snow stability tests
    • Use explosives in snow stability tests
    • Mountain set up, tear down and maintenance.
    • Placement and maintenance of mountain signs rope lines and padding
    • Placement and maintenance of snow fences
    • Maintain ski runs by side slipping and/or shoveling
    • Crowd control at lift mazes day lodges and race venues
    • Pick up trash on the mountain
    • Retrieve items dropped from the lift
    • Assist guests looking for lost equipment
    • Check lift tickets
    • Maintain clean Ski Patrol workspace including emptying trash, vacuuming and cleaning windows

    LEVEL I:

    • First year / no experience, or limited experience
    • CPR + OEC certified,
    • Completed OEC Refresher
    • Completes training check-off sheet

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:  Operate chairlifts in a safe and efficient manner, assisting guests to safely load and unload chairlift, check for proper lift tickets and support the Deer Valley 3 Circle Model.

  • Dining Room Attendant

    PURPOSE OF POSITION: Dining Room Attendants are responsible for keeping an assigned area of the Day Restaurant clean and sanitized, or delivering Food and Beverage items to guests. Specific job duty will be assigned by the MOD daily. Tasks include clearing dirty dishes from tables, sanitizing and disinfecting tables and chairs, delivering all Food and Beverage items to the guests, attending the beverage station, emptying bus carts.

    SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Demonstrate a skill set relating to the functions of a full-service restaurant
    • Demonstrate excellent communication and positive interpersonal skills
    • S.M.A.R.T. Card certification
    • Utah Food Handlers certification
    • Frequent walking and/or standing for long periods of time
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Knowledge of Food and Beverage items offered
    • Knowledge of dining room names, table number, and seat numbers
    • Understanding of sequence of service in the Day Restaurants
    • The ability to greet, assist, direct, and anticipate guest needs

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:  Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all area of the lodge except for the kitchen.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Report to work as scheduled to perform duties as assigned by supervisor or crew-leader in strict compliance with Deer Valley Resort Company and back of the house policies
    • Receive and stock items delivered for the janitorial and stewarding department
    • Properly clean and restock all restrooms and storerooms during the day
    • Maintain clean, neat and sanitary conditions in guest space and the back of the house by making regular rounds cleaning walls and floors, cleaning and organizing shelving, emptying trash containers, and keeping them in designated areas.  Also, check all hand wash stations to ensure they are clean and equipped with soap and paper towels
    • Perform scheduled daily and otherwise scheduled cleaning such as toilets, urinals, mirrors, phone booths, benches, lobby area, windows, etc.
    • Exercise caution and care with considerations for safety and expense when using any chemical or mechanical equipment
    • Make sure dock area is clean and organized.  Put boxes in bailer, checking bailer often during day.  If full, use bailing wire to tie bundles of cardboard
    • Check trash compactor often.  Clean as needed.  Make sure doors are closed and trash is compacted.
    • Light and maintain fireplaces during the day
    • Check all administrative offices for trash and recycling and vacuum when necessary
    • Assist with cleaning Deer Valley owned stores
    • Assist the stewards and restaurant attendants when needed
    • Maintain a close working relationship with supervisor or crew leader in regards to prioritizing duties with the goal of minimal supervision in this area.  This is accomplished by developing an awareness of the needs of the different areas of the back of the house as affected by skier count, restaurant reservations, weather conditions, staffing irregularities and other varying conditions

     

    SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Reliable transportation to and from work
    • Some cleaning experience preferred
    • Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
    • Must be dependable
    • Must be able to work evenings/nights
