SEASONAL HOUSEKEEPER NEEDED

Job Description: 

The seasonal housekeeping role performs many diverse tasks. These can include, but are not limited to - the cleaning of all ranch buildings, laundry service, and window washing. A seasonal housekeeper may be asked to assist with serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining areas and/or kitchens after meal service. When the ranch is not hosting any guests, housekeepers may be asked to assist with landscaping around the main buildings.

Staff members are expected to be polite and contribute to a warm and friendly atmosphere. The housekeepers work under the supervision of the Head Housekeeper and Office Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Residential and Support Building Maintenance

• Clean, disinfect, dust, vacuum, tidy and maintain kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas.

• Perform basic laundry functions including proper washing and drying, handwashing, and ironing when necessary.

• Clean and disinfect designated areas for family dog.

• Clean with environmentally-friendly products

• Collaborate with head housekeeper, ranch manager, office manager and other staff

• Wash and detail ranch vehicles

• Assist with projects and duties as required.

Grounds Maintenance (As needed)

• Monitor buildings for pest control

• Maintain aesthetic appeal around houses: mowing, weeding and pruning

• Care for 30 porch containers of seasonal plantings

• Sweep porches

Guest Services (As needed)

• Interact discretely and confidentially with owners and guests to provide comfortable atmosphere.

• Maintain routine tidiness of guest kitchens

• Prepare dining tables for all family and guest meals

• Provide table service during all meals

• Attend to prompt clearing and cleanup after all meals

Job Requirements:

• May 15- August 15 (variable)

• High Standards of order and cleanliness

• Ability to work under changing circumstances

• Ability to adapt to changes in work schedule and job duties

• Ability to work long hours for several consecutive days, including weekends and holidays, in an isolated setting.

• Punctual

• Smoke/Vape/Drug Free workplace

• Honest, observant and careful

• Resourceful and able to solve problems with minimal oversight

• Attend CPR training provided by employer

• Ability to lift 50 lbs periodically and walk ¼ mile between buildings

• Adhere to confidentiality agreement and complete background check.

• Possess appropriate legal documentation to work in the United States.

• Provide stable work history and references

• Have valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Must be 18 years of age
