Co-Host Block Island is a growing boutique property management company specializing in Airbnb and short-term rentals on Block Island. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team for the 2026 season.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform turnover and cleaning services between guest stays, ensuring properties are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, staged, and guest-ready.

• Report any missing, damaged, or broken items.

• Restock guest supplies including paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, sponges, and other essentials, while tracking inventory needs.

• Make beds, stage linens and towels, and bag dirty laundry for processing.

• Empty and reline trash bins throughout the property.

• Ensure property keys and guest materials are properly prepared for arriving guests.

• Track and communicate turnover progress and completion times so management can coordinate guest check-ins.

• Transport laundry to and from storage facilities and/or laundry services.

• Maintain company-owned supplies and equipment, ensuring items such as vacuums, mops, and cleaning caddies are accounted for and moved between properties as needed.

Position Details

• Start Date: Between June 26 and July 10, earlier more ideal but we can be flexible

• Season End: Commitment through at least mid-September required; work is available through October for those interested.

• Experience: Previous cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, or turnover experience required.

• Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Must pass a background check following the interview process.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Must have reachable reference within this industry

• Must have a cell phone and be able to communicate effectively in English.

• Must be comfortable working in a variety of homes and environments.

• Cannot have allergies or physical limitations that would prevent working around pets, dust, cleaning products, or typical household conditions.

Housing

Dorm-style employee housing can be available for female employees.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants who are also interested in occasional work with our sister company, Block Island Babysitters, will receive preference, though this is not required.
