Golf/Grounds Maintenance summer position in the mountains of beautiful Montana!

At Crazy Mountain Ranch, The Golf Maintenance position reports to the Director of Golf Course and Grounds/ Assistant Superintendents while performing various golf course maintenance tasks. This position will be directly involved in various maintenance assignments associated with the care of golf course greens, tees, fairways and other golf course features and areas. Maintenance operations will be performed utilizing various specialized equipment, machinery, utility vehicles and hand tools.

The summer season is May - October 31st

Housing at the ranch available upon request. Rent and deposit required

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of mowing equipment on the golf course to maintain turfgrass areas.

• Equipment operation includes self-propelled walk mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, light weight mowing equipment and other specialty machinery utilized in golf course maintenance work.

• The Equipment Operator contributes to the maintenance operation by performing other labor tasks with various hand tools and specialized golf course power equipment.

• The Equipment Operator will also be involved with several types of construction-related projects throughout the golf course.

• Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily while also ensuring the proper cleaning and care procedures.

• Report equipment problems to the Equipment Manager. 

• Participates in cleaning maintenance areas and operates within the safety training procedures.

Competencies 

• Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions environments.

• Knowledge of safe and efficient mechanical operation of equipment and motorized vehicles.

• Possess an ability to follow written and oral directions.

• Previous experience working in the maintenance of a golf course, grounds, or similar outdoor areas.

• Desire to work in a positive, upbeat environment while supporting your fellow colleagues.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months experience working with mowing equipment or similar machinery would be preferred.
