We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and adaptable people to join our very small team.
Responsibilities include;
Housekeeping duties- cleaning rooms, bathrooms, decks, stocking linens, towels, toiletries, making beds, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning common areas, restocking housekeeping closets and storage areas, etc. Must be comfortable repeatedly walking up and down the stairs and being outside for short periods during very cold weather.
Front Desk duties- answering phone, taking online and phone reservations, auditing bank, setting up coffee and snacks in the morning, making room keys, welcoming guests, giving information about the area, etc.
Other duties- sorting recycling and taking to the recycling center, restocking retail merchandise, organizing storage areas, being an "on-call" night innkeeper two nights per week, etc.
We are looking for the following qualities;
Adaptability- easily learn new skills and effectively operate in different environments. Come up with creative solutions to problems and be willing to change approach when necessary.
Strong Work Ethic- showing up on time, taking initiative, working hard, and making an effort to improve the quality of work.
Good Communication Skills- ability to listen, understand the needs of others, respond appropriately to situations, get along with the team.
Positive Attitude- it makes for a more enjoyable work environment.
Problem Solving Skills- identify the root of the problem, come up with creative solutions, implement solutions efficiently. Good problem solving skills involve critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to remain calm and objective.
Private room on property available for $10 per day. Employees are responsible for their own meals, full kitchen with plenty of refrigerator space provided. Must have a valid driver's license. Having your own vehicle is a big plus for having a freedom to check out the area.
