Seasonal Hospitality Opportunity at Remote Alaska Lodge
We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated seasonal hospitality staff member to join our team at a remote lodge in Alaska for the end of our summer season. This position will begin on June 1, 2026 and run through September 10th, 2026. The lodge is located 100 miles north of Anchorage and is accessible only by aircraft, offering a unique and immersive experience in the Alaskan wilderness.
Our lodge specializes in adventure tourism, including activities such as fishing, hiking, and photography. We have four guest cabins and can accommodate up to 16 guests at a time. Staff members will be provided with accommodations either in our staff cabins or the main lodge, as well as meals for the duration of the season.

Chelatna Lake Lodge, a premier remote Alaskan lodge nestled at the foot of Denali National Park, is seeking an experienced and passionate Fishing Guide to join our team for the summer season. Accessible only by airplane, our lodge offers breathtaking views of the Alaska Range and provides guests with exclusive fishing experiences on Chelatna Lake.

Chelatna Lake Lodge offers an intimate Alaskan retreat for up to 16 guests, providing a range of adventure activities, including world-class fishing. We pride ourselves on offering a memorable experience in the heart of Alaska's wilderness with excellent accommodations, stunning views, and exceptional hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Room Cleaning and Maintenance:
Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of all guest rooms, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. This includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming, replenishing toiletries, and tidying up personal items left by guests.
Ensure the bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, with fresh towels and linens provided as needed.
Maintain the overall aesthetic of the guest cabins, paying attention to details that contribute to a welcoming, cozy environment.
Common Area Upkeep:
Clean and maintain the main lodge, including the dining room, living room, kitchen, bathrooms, and outdoor porches, ensuring these areas are spotless, organized, and ready for guests to enjoy at all times.
Ensure the hot tub and sauna area are properly cleaned, disinfected, and stocked with necessary supplies for guest use.
Regularly check and replenish supplies in common areas (e.g., soap, paper towels, and other essentials).
Dining Room Setup and Service:
Set up the dining room for all meal services, ensuring that all tables are appropriately set with the necessary tableware, napkins, and condiments.
Serve meals to guests in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring that meals are presented well and delivered promptly.
Bus tables during and after meals, clearing dishes and preparing tables for the next round of service.
Ensure dishes, utensils, and glassware are clean and ready for the next use, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the dining area.
Dishwashing and Kitchen Support:
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchenware used during meal service.
Assist in organizing and cleaning the kitchen to maintain a sanitary, efficient work environment.
Support kitchen staff with light prep work or stocking ingredients as needed.
Preparing Sack Lunches:
Prepare and pack sack lunches for guests participating in fishing or other outdoor excursions.
Ensure that all lunches are packed securely, clearly labeled, and ready for distribution at the appropriate time.
Laundry and Linen Management:
Handle daily laundry for guests, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing towels, bedding, and other linens used by guests.
Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, ensuring that supplies such as detergent, fabric softener, and other cleaning products are well-stocked and easily accessible.
Assist with managing inventory of linens, making sure all necessary items are in good condition and ready for use.
Deep Cleaning and Lodge Maintenance:
When the lodge is not fully occupied by guests, assist with deep cleaning tasks throughout the lodge. This includes tasks such as cleaning windows, washing walls, and performing other maintenance duties to keep the lodge in top condition.
Participate in seasonal cleaning projects to ensure the lodge is prepared for peak season or closing at the end of summer.
Guest Interaction and Support:
Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests with a friendly attitude and offering assistance as needed.
Help create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for guests, ensuring their needs are met with attention to detail.
Team Collaboration:
Work as part of a small, close-knit team where flexibility and adaptability are key. Assist other team members with their duties during busy times or when help is needed.
Maintain clear communication with other staff members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations throughout the lodge.
Additional Duties as Assigned:
Occasionally assist with other lodge-related tasks such as preparing equipment for guests, handling special requests, or supporting larger group events.
Participate in staff meetings or briefings to discuss schedules, guest needs, and any operational updates.
Work Schedule: The typical workday begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 9:00 PM, with a break in the afternoon (approx. 3-4 hours). Please note that the schedule may vary depending on guest needs.

Staff are encouraged to enjoy the lodge's recreational equipment, including boats, paddle boards, and other outdoor gear during their time off.
Staff fishing trips down the river are organized periodically throughout the summer.

Chelatna Lake Lodge
Chelatna Lake Lodge sits at the foot of Denali National Park on an 8 mile long lake feeding into a picturesque river which is ideal for fishing. We are only accessible by aircraft but are within a one hour flight from Anchorage. We offer a luxury lodge experience to our guests as well as activities such as fly-fishing, hiking and helicopter tours.
