Seasonal position (now-end of October) with an opportunity for full-time. Affordable shared employee housing available. Shift meals provided. Up to 48 accrued hours of PTO annually, 50% discount at the restaurant. 

Position Summary

The Guest Services Attendant plays a key role in creating a warm, seamless, and memorable experience for all Cascade Lodge guests. This position is primarily responsible for front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, guest service, and reservation management, but also supports housekeeping functions to ensure rooms and common areas meet Cascade Lodge’s quality standards. Ideal candidates are team players who thrive in a dynamic environment, are equally comfortable at a computer and on their feet, and take pride in both guest service and hands-on work.

Primary Responsibilities – Front Desk (Approx. 70-80%)

  • Greet and assist guests with genuine hospitality upon arrival, during their stay, and at departure.

  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using the property management system.

  • Manage reservations, modifications, and cancellations via phone, email, and online booking platforms.

  • Handle guest inquiries, lodge information requests, activity recommendations, and basic concierge tasks.

  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, redirecting as needed to other departments.

  • Process payments accurately, balance the cash drawer, and follow all financial control procedures.

  • Perform daily sales and bank audits for restaurant and lodge, balance banks, make change orders, balance petty-cash, record data into spreadsheets.

  • Monitor lobby and public areas to maintain a welcoming atmosphere (coffee, tea station, seating areas) and keep the area presentable

  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance teams to track room status and address guest needs.

Secondary Responsibilities – Housekeeping Support (Approx. 20-30%)

  • Assist the housekeeping team during peak turnover periods with tasks such as:

    • Stripping rooms and removing linens.

    • Delivering clean linens and amenities to rooms.

    • Cleaning or touch-ups in guest rooms, common areas, or restrooms.

    • Stocking supplies in closets and vans.

    • Inspecting rooms.

  • Report maintenance issues, supply shortages, or room discrepancies promptly.

  • Ensure high cleanliness standards are upheld in all guest-facing spaces.

  • Provide flexible coverage to support housekeeping schedules during busy periods, staff shortages, or high occupancy days.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in hospitality, customer service, or housekeeping is preferred but not required; training provided.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working with computers and learning reservation systems.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Shifts typically include a mix of front desk coverage and active support during housekeeping turnovers (particularly mornings and early afternoons).

  • This position may be scheduled for cross-departmental shifts depending on occupancy levels, seasonality, and staffing needs.

  • Cascade Lodge is located in a rural resort setting; applicants should be comfortable with a lodge environment that combines hospitality, outdoor recreation, and hands-on teamwork.
