Job Summary

The Tour Host is responsible for conducting guided tours at Saxman Native Village. This role involves welcoming guests upon arrival and leading them through key areas such as the Clan House, Totem Park, and Carving Center. Tour Hosts are tasked with engaging visitors and ensuring a high-quality experience that educates them about the local history.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Foster friendly and personable interactions with tour guests.

• Welcome guests and address their inquiries to create a positive and unforgettable experience.

• Organize guests into groups and manage the timing of tours accurately.

• Work with customers and staff to maintain a safe environment by keeping track of guest numbers, clearing walkways of debris, and reporting hazards to management for the safety of everyone.

• Handle issues with employees and guests in a professional manner.

• Share knowledge about the area, including its environment, cultural history, practices, and contemporary lifestyle.

• Complete end-of-day tasks such as cleaning facilities, sweeping restrooms, restocking supplies, picking up litter, disposing of trash, and storing signage.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
