WELCOME TO OUR WINTER WONDERLAND!

The Bear Valley Adventure Company (BVAC) is one of California's premier cross-country ski and snowshoe resorts and hires Winter Trailhead Ambassadors to assist outside operations. Daily activities include greeting guests, checking trail passes, handing out rental skis, and managing the sledding and tubing hills. All trailhead staff must assist in snow removal using shovels and snowblowers, for which training is provided. Trailhead staff must be comfortable working outdoors during the winter while maintaining a personable and professional demeanor with guests. Teamwork is essential, as the trailhead works closely with the store to ensure a smooth customer experiences from the time they park their car to when they get out on the snow. All staff are encouraged to cross country ski and snowshoe to better relate to the amazing experiences our guests have. This is a creative, full-time, seasonal position with flexible start and finish dates.

Bear Valley is a small alpine village at 7100 feet in the Sierra Nevada Range between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite, only a 3-hour drive from San Francisco. Our strategic location receives a deep snowpack, even in an average winter. Our town is small, but it offers big skiing and snowboarding opportunities. In addition to our operations, Bear Valley boasts an excellent downhill ski and snowboard resort, as well as extensive backcountry terrain to explore.

Housing:
On-site affordable staff housing is available in a 4-bedroom apartment above our store. The accommodations include a shared kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathroom. A washer and dryer are also included. Our housing is conveniently located near village amenities and features a free shuttle bus to the downhill resort.

A Little BVAC History:
BVAC was purchased by the Bear Valley Mountain Cooperative (BVMC) in December 2018. BVMC is a nonprofit organization comprising over 450 individuals dedicated to the betterment of Bear Valley. BVAC is at the forefront of this investment and is encouraged to maintain and improve offerings and services in the greater Bear Valley area.
