If you have a deep desire to change the lives of children, while letting them change yours, then Bay Cliff is calling. Unlike anywhere else, Bay Cliff Health Camp serves and supports children living with disabilities, helping them gain independence through living and playing at summer camp. All the while, campers receive Occupational, Physical, and/or Speech therapy from licensed therapists at camp.
Our camp counselors are crucial in all that we do here at Bay Cliff. They live with and care for the campers in their cabins, supporting them in all they do at camp. The residential nature of our camp lends itself to really meaningful relationships with each camper. The campers are at Bay Cliff for 7 weeks, allowing for significant growth towards their therapy goals, while also building deep relationships with their counselors. Bay Cliff is located on the northern shores of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in the small village of Big Bay. Bay Cliff's lush woods and glistening waters create a surreal place to spend the summer.
The dates of camp are June 11th-August 10th for staff. This includes the 7-week campers are here, with a little over a week of staff orientation and training before that. Room and board are included for the entirety of your stay at camp, including the weekly days off for each staff member.
Bay Cliff's Summer Therapy Camp is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience with children and/or the disability community, build their resume, or simply spend their summer in a beautiful place with really amazing children. No prior experience is required!
