Our staff are our family and lodging here by the river and the same excellent food we serve our guests are included on top of your hourly wages. Staff are welcome to use ranch amenities on their time off and our area is perfect for all kinds of outdoor adventures including hiking, biking, climbing, riding, rafting, fishing, camping and much more. While your friends are working in the city, you'll have some incredible photos to share of all you're doing daily! Check out our available job openings below! We will have work available beginning early / mid-May through September. All staff other than Kid Wranglers and Child Counselors must be able to arrive in May and stay through the end of our season in September. Please do not return an application for a children's position unless you can begin work by the last week of May and stay at least until late August (18th at the earliest, but 26th is preferred!)

Our Children's Counselors are celebrities here at Bar Lazy J--their everyone's favorite! Come live in the Rocky Mountains and enjoy working in the outdoors with kids ages 3-12 doing various planned activities. Ride horses, feed the petting farm animals, learn to rope and do archery so you can teach the kids, swim at the pool, fish in the stocked trout pond or the river, do fun and interesting crafts like leatherwork, and SO much more! Housing and excellent food (the same as our ranch guests!) is included on top of your pay and you are welcome to use all the ranch amenities on your time off. Come ride the Rockies! Who wouldn't LOVE to be paid to ride horses? Wranglers must demonstrate good horsemanship skills on and off horseback and possess excellent communication skills. Our guests LOVE the wranglers and love a great conversation on a long ride through the mountains. Wranglers are responsible for leading trail rides, feeding, grooming and tacking the horses, jingling the 100+ herd in the mornings and fence and trail maintenance. We seek "horse-people" who are on time, motivated, safety-minded, enthusiastic and great in a team setting. Wranglers must be able to stay through the entire season and Children's Wranglers must be available until late August. Lodging and excellent food is included on top of hourly pay! Our kitchen assistant is so important to making the guests' experience top notch! After a long day in the saddle or enjoying other ranch activities, meal times are what everyone looks forward to! This position assists the chef and sous chef with prepping food for meals, plating breakfast and dinners, setting up buffets, kitchen clean up and other miscellaneous talks. Since we offer an open kitchen, you'll find the guests will love to stop and say hello! Lodging and all meals are included on top of an hourly wage for this position. Come enjoy the outdoors in the Rockies! This position reports directly to the head of maintenance for duties. Duties may include but not limited to: maintaining grounds by cutting grass, weed-wacking, and watering flowers; maintaining pool and area, small repairs and helping with larger repairs, helping with guest luggage, fixing fence, or anything needed to maintain ranch cleanliness or repairs. We seek an individual who is self-motivated, has a positive attitude and willingness to learn, works great with others, will be friendly and outgoing with our guests and always ready to help where needed.
