B Bar Ranch Line Cook Position

Location: B Bar Ranch, Paradise Valley, Montana

Season: May 14 – October 31, 2026

About B Bar Ranch

B Bar Ranch is not a typical kitchen.

We are a seasonal guest retreat and working cattle ranch bordering Yellowstone National Park, where food is an essential part of how guests experience the land. Meals are prepared with intention, using local ingredients—including our own organic beef—and served to guests who are present, engaged, and deeply appreciative.

This is a place to slow down, learn, and refine your craft in a meaningful way.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who wants more than a standard line cook position.

You’ll work directly alongside an experienced and respected chef, gaining hands-on experience in:

  • Ranch-to-table cooking

  • Seasonal menu development

  • Small-team kitchen operations

  • Cooking with whole, high-quality ingredients

If you’re serious about food and want to build a foundation in thoughtful, ingredient-driven cooking, this is a rare opportunity.

Position Summary

The Seasonal Line Cook will support the Ranch Chef in all culinary operations, with a primary focus on breakfast service and preparation for lunch and dinner.

This role requires initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to take ownership in the kitchen while contributing to a collaborative and positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily breakfast service for guests

  • Assist with prep and service for lunch and dinner

  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation

  • Keep kitchen spaces clean, organized, and efficient

  • Support menu development and ingredient preparation

  • Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative

  • Interest in baking and scratch cooking

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexible and positive attitude

  • Physically capable of long days on your feet

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive seasonal wage

  • On-site housing provided

  • Daily access to a remote, high-quality Montana landscape

  • Opportunity to learn directly from an experienced chef

  • A unique environment to grow both personally and professionally

Why This Role is Different

This is not a high-volume restaurant job.

You’ll be cooking for guests who are here to slow down, connect, and experience something meaningful—and food is a central part of that experience.

If you’re looking to:

  • Learn real skills

  • Take on responsibility

  • Be part of a small, intentional team

  • Live and work in one of the most beautiful places in Montana

We’d love to hear from you.
