About Aspen Skiing Company

The Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) is located in Aspen, Colorado. Aspen’s modern history was forged with the silver rush in the 1870s and was reborn in the wake of World War II as a ski destination. Leading the way was a former member of the 10th Mountain Division, Friedl Pfeifer, who banded together with philanthropist Walter and Elizabeth Paepcke to make the town and its mountain a destination for those seeking renewal of their mind, body and spirit.

ASC operates the on-mountain restaurants and the four mountains in the Aspen Snowmass area - Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk - as well as the Five Star, Five Diamond property The Little Nell, the Limelight Hotel properties which operate in Aspen, Ketchum Idaho, and the soon to be open Snowmass location. ASC also operates the rental & retail stores of Four Mountain Sports as well as D&E and the Award-winning Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen Snowmass.

Our mission statement is to Live Passionately: Awaken the Spirit, Elevate Community and Honor Place. We are distinguished from others in our belief that our employees should be encouraged to bring this mission to life both personally and professionally, and in a way that is unique to them. Whether it is taking a ski run at lunch, volunteering for a cause close to your heart, or hiking at sunrise, we know our employees are our best ambassadors and our greatest investment.

Room and Board

Aspen Skiing Company housing is located all throughout the Roaring Fork Valley with approximately 600 beds.

We offer seasonal and year-round housing in the summer and winter seasons - we even have a Tiny Home village close to grocery stores and services.

Employee housing units are assigned by department managers to a property that is closest to the employee's job, if possible. However, it's not unusual for employees that work in Aspen to be assigned housing in Snowmass Village at Club Commons Apartments. Snowmass Village is a short commute to Aspen.
