American Alpine Club

Founded in 1902, the American Alpine Club (AAC) supports the climbing community nationwide. We provide grants, medical rescue benefits, campgrounds, and educational safety resources. We also house North America’s largest climbing library. Our mission is to advocate for public lands, break down barriers to access, and protect iconic climbing landscapes. Together, United We Climb.

Multiple locations: Golden, CO; inside of Grand Teton National Park, WY; Shawanagunks in New York; the New River Gorge, WV; just outside of Hueco Tanks State Park in El Paso, Texas; and Rumney, NH.
