Schedule: Full-time and part-time seasonal (weekends/long days required)
Housing: Limited on-site housing may be available for the right candidates
Make Alaska the highlight of our guests’ trip
We’re a leading transportation company serving cruise passengers in Alaska—especially along the iconic Seward Highway / Turnagain Arm / Portage Valley / Whittier corridor. We’re hiring experienced, high-energy Tour Guides / On-Board Narrators who can turn a transfer into a memorable Alaska experience—through humor, heart, and solid local knowledge.
If you love a microphone, thrive with people, and can keep a schedule moving while keeping guests smiling… you’ll fit in here.
What you’ll do
Entertain + educate guests with engaging live narration (history, wildlife, culture, fun facts, Q&A)
Welcome and orient guests at cruise terminals, hotels, and airport locations; provide clear meeting instructions
Deliver a confident safety briefing and support a safe, respectful onboard environment
Work as a team with your driver and operations team to keep trips on time and smooth
Assist with luggage coordination and guest needs (including seniors, families, and international travelers)
Handle guest questions and small issues calmly—because you’re the “face” of the experience
What we’re looking for (required)
Previous guiding experience is required (professional tour guide, interpreter, driver-guide, tour director/escort, museum/park interpretation, etc.)
Strong public speaking/storytelling skills (you can hold attention without sounding “scripted”)
Genuine hospitality mindset: friendly, patient, professional, solution-oriented
Reliable attendance and ability to work long days + weekends through the full season
Comfortable working with guests from many cultures and age groups (cruise passengers from all over the world)
Ability to meet physical demands: lift/handle luggage up to 70 lbs, climb steps, stand/walk, bend, and move around the coach safely
Preferred (nice to have)
Bilingual or multilingual skills
Familiarity with Anchorage, Seward, Whittier, and common hotel/cruise logistics
First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
CDL holders/driver-guides (optional): opportunities may exist to cross-train depending on need
What you get
Guaranteed hours available for full-time seasonal roles (40 hrs/week target)
End-of-season completion bonus for team members who stay through the end of the season
A team that values performance, loyalty, and professionalism
The chance to spend your summer on one of the most scenic routes in Alaska—helping guests fall in love with this place
Work locations
Anchorage • Seward • Whittier (position is in-person; travel between locations as scheduled)
Pay & Perks (this is the good part)
$26–$30 per hour (DOE)
Tips are very generous and expected/encouraged from guests (you’ll be in a tip-friendly role)
End-of-season bonus for team members who stay through the end of the season
Return bonus available for guides who come back
Paid training + shadow runs (we set you up to succeed before you’re solo)
Housing provided on site (monthly fee)
Car rental available (small fee)
