With space for up to 100 employees, the Bunkhouse provides staff with affordable housing conveniently close to work.     Snowsports Instructor

    The Snowsports Instructor raises the next generation of alpine downhill enthusiasts. No matter a guest's skill level, discipline, or age, someone from this team is ready to clip or strap in and share their insight.

    This role is all about inspiring others through skiing or snowboarding, creating meaningful experiences, and helping guests connect with the culture and community of the mountain. Instructors focus on safety, skill-building, and delivering top-notch service. While most instructors are assigned to either adult or children's lessons based on their strengths and needs, flexibility is key.     Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional guest service at all times

    Mountain Operations

    Lift Operator

    This is a Full-Time, Part-time, Night Operations or Holiday Week help Seasonal position that runs during the winter operating season, with employee housing available starting at $325/month.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    As a Lift Operator, you’ll be responsible for the safe, friendly, and efficient operation of our ski and snowboard lifts. You’ll be the person guests see first in the morning and last on their way off the hill so your energy sets the tone.

    Daily Responsibilities:

    • Greet and assist guests in the lift line and at loading/unloading zones

    • Operate aerial and surface lifts according to safety standards

    • Monitor lift function and report any issues to maintenance staff

    • Help manage guest flow, spacing, and ticket/pass checks

    • Maintain a safe work area by regularly clearing snow and keeping ramps clean

    • Provide clear, friendly communication to guests and co-workers

    • Assist with lift opening/closing procedures

    • Jump in to help out with Mountain Operations including Tubing and Ticket Checking

    Work Environment & Schedule:

    • Outdoor mountain environment with exposure to snow, wind, cold, and sun

    • Expect early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts

    • Must be able to stand on your feet in snow boots for extended periods

    • Willingness to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs

    Mountain Operations

    Snowmaking Operator

    Soda Springs, CA
    $20.00 - $22.00 / hour

    The Snowmaking Operator role is an entry-level position within the Snowmaking Department. This job involves working as part of a team to generate snow to provide substrate for resort trails and operations. This will include Boreal Ski Resort, Woodward Tahoe Tubing, and Planet Kids at Soda Springs Resort.

    Snowmaking is a notably, labor intensive and physically demanding role. Snowmakers will be working in a variety of weather circumstances and landscape conditions. Snowmobiles may be necessary for transportation at times (training will be provided, if necessary); walking/hiking through snow and partially snow-covered areas is to be expected. Snowmaking operations will primarily be conducted through nighttime shifts; although operations are subject to daytime shifts given appropriate weather conditions.

    While everyday is different Snowmaking Operators can expect to:

    • Operate snow guns

    • maintain equipment

    • fulfill start-up and shut-down procedures for snow machines

    • drain water hoses/lines

    • Removal of snow/ice on/or surrounding equipment.  


    Position Requirements: 

    • Able to lift objects 40+ pounds 

    • Basic mechanical skills  

    • Able to use basic hand tools 

    • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions 

    • Must be able to work night shifts 

    • Able to collaborate with others in a positive manner

    • Strong decision-making skills 

    This is a seasonal, full-time snowmaking role, however, this position and its responsibilities are contingent on natural snowfall and resort operation plans; upon the completion of snowmaking for the season, snowmakers may have the opportunity to fulfill a role as a Snow Removal Operator, if desired.

    Mountain Patrol

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    As a member of our Patrol team, you'll play a critical role in guest safety, terrain management, and emergency response. You’ll be visible across the mountain, ensuring trails are safe, responding to incidents, and supporting operational excellence.

    Daily Responsibilities:

    • Perform morning trail checks and open/close terrain

    • Respond quickly to on-mountain incidents and injuries

    • Provide first aid and coordinate guest transport as needed

    • Assist with toboggan handling and loading patients safely

    • Support avalanche safety, terrain closures, and hazard marking

    • Educate guests on mountain safety and etiquette

    • Maintain and restock medical supplies at patrol stations

    • Serve as a first responder in emergency situations, including lift evacuations

    Work Environment & Schedule:

    • Outdoor mountain environment with challenging winter conditions (snow, wind, cold, variable visibility)

    • Early morning start times, weekend and holiday shifts expected

    • Must be comfortable skiing or riding in varied terrain, including off-piste

    • Physically demanding role: lifting, hiking, and toboggan operation required

    • On-call or extended hours possible during weather events or major incidents

    Who We’re Looking For:

    • Strong skiing or snowboarding ability in all conditions (required)

    • OEC, EMT, or WEMT (required or in progress)

    • Active CPR certification

    • Calm under pressure and able to work efficiently in emergencies

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    • Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded

    • Experience in patrol, guiding, mountain rescue, or similar roles is a plus

    • Willingness to train and grow within the department

    • Fit guests with ski or snowboard boots, bindings, and equipment based on ability and size

    • Adjust, test, and maintain rental gear to ensure safety and functionality

    • Assist guests with returns, exchanges, and troubleshooting

    • Educate guests on proper use of equipment and basic safety

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient rental area

    • Provide friendly and professional customer service

    • Work closely with other departments like ticketing, ski school, and lift ops

    Work Environment & Schedule:

    • Indoor/outdoor environment with high guest traffic

    • Fast-paced setting—especially on weekends and powder days
