About Wildman TR Inc.
Wildman’s in Cooper Landing Alaska is looking for help for the summer of 2027 in our own little piece of heaven. Wildman is a liquor store, convenience store, deli, has a laundromat, public showers, and we offer a taxi and shuttle service. We are open year round but summer is when our store is hopping. During the summer, we're typically open from 6:00am until 10:00pm, 7 days a week. Our start times are staggered during the day to insure proper staffing during our peak times. We have store clerk jobs, stocking jobs, combo stocking & clerk positions, cooking positions, shift lead positions and shuttle & cab driving positions. These positions are mainly full-time. A full-time position is 40 hours a week and we strive to give full-time employees two consecutive days off each week.
Our store is close to fishing, rafting, and hiking so there are lots of outdoor activities close by to enjoy on days off. During May, there is a local softball tournament and if you want to play, you can join a team! During the summer, Moose Pass (about 15 miles from here) has a Summer Solstice fair and other events on the Peninsula. We all work hard and play hard. We have a covered picnic area in our housing area with a barbecue and tables for our employee's benefit. There is a fire pit and numerous evenings employees will gather for a chat around a fire. We have housing available and RV spots if you bring your own accommodations.
For more information on our store, see our web page www.wildmans.org and go to www.cooperlandingchamber.com to get information about Cooper Landing.
The Employee Experience
We strive to create an enjoyable, friendly work environment. We host barbeques for the staff every month. Transportation is a challenge if you do not have a personal automobile, but employees work with each other to offer rides, and do things together. If someone is going into one of the larger towns (50 miles away) they will pick up groceries for each other, offer rides, etc. We have direct deposit so the worry of getting a paycheck to the bank is alleviated and there is an ATM on-premise. If you love the outdoors, this is the place to come. There are many rafting opportunities on the Kenai River, hiking trails close and wildlife to be viewed.
We do offer discounts to our employees on a meal while they are working, complimentary coffee, fountain soda and wi-fi.
