    Camp Facilities Supervisor

    Our Facility Supervisors take pride in ensuring our glamping locations are operational, safe, functional, and well-maintained so that our guests can fully utilize and enjoy our amenities, tents, and common areas. Situated just minutes away from the country’s most popular national parks, our locations range in size from 40-100 glamping tents, many of which have their own showers, toilets, and wood burning stoves. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager who leads the department, you are an on-site maintenance expert, helping to oversee, train, and perform maintenance tasks along with the Facilities Team. This is a full-time, seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

    Facilities Technician 2

    As a Facilities Technician, you work closely with the Facilities Supervisor to ensure our glamping location is well-maintained, safe, and operational for our team members and guests. You play an important role in our success by performing daily maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of our tents, amenities, equipment, and property. Depending on the camp location, the nature of work performed will vary from basic upkeep to more technical functions such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. This is a seasonal, hourly position that includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

As a Laundry Attendant, you play a critical role in what makes Under Canvas so unique, providing our guests with crisp linens and fresh towels as they sleep under the stars. Reporting to a Laundry Supervisor, you will work with a team of peers to clean and restock linens for a camp location.     Front of House Lead

    As Food & Beverage Front of House Lead, you will support the Food and Beverage operation through leadership of the front of house team and completing delegated administrative tasks. You will ensure service, brand, and food safety standards are implemented and followed. You will work in the roles of cashier, food runner, barista, bartender, and expeditor. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment. 

    Responsibilities 

    • Expertly execute all front of house tasks and train team on best practices of the operation with a focus on exceptional guest service 
    • Actively maintain guest and team member safety by ensuring all food handling safety and storages protocols and SOPs are implemented and tracked on logs

    Food & Beverage Attendant

    As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you are the main point of contact for our guest dining experience. You will engage with guests at our café style restaurant where you will make recommendations, process transactions, run food and drinks, and support the entire operation as needed. Your goal is to provide stellar service ensuring our guests have everything they need for an enjoyable meal outside together with family, friends, and nature. We cater to a diverse range of guests including groups, families, and individuals varying in age, interests, and with various degrees of comfort in outdoor elements. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

    • You maintain composure, take action, are resourceful, and solutions-minded in unpredictable situations such as weather, diverse needs of guests, or incidents on property

    • Cheerfully greet and serve guests at the restaurant counter, answer questions about menu items, provide recommendations, and process transactions accurately in a timely manner

    • Actively maintain guest safety by following all food safety and sanitation protocols

    • Your passion for the food & beverage industry combined with your commitment to delivering high standards of service will be critical as you help create memorable dining experiences

    • Your positive attitude, ability to listen to guests, and anticipate service needs will lead to consistently positive guest feedback

    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Food Handler (ServSafe) Certification and TIPS certification 

      • Must be obtained by property opening date or before starting any work involving food or alcohol handling

    • Ability to follow direction

    • Attention to detail

    • Strong communication skills

    • Friendly Team-Player

    • Restaurant experience preferred but not required

    • Food Safety 

    • Point of Sale (POS) Systems 

    • Sanitation

    Additional Information

    • This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.

    • This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently.

    • Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.

    • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind. 

    • This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.

    Housekeeper

    $15.50 - $16.00 / hour

    As a Housekeeper, you play an important role in creating a memorable first impression for our guests from the moment they enter their tent. Under Canvas is known for providing guests with a glamping experience that includes all the comforts and luxury of home, your role is to ensure our tent accommodations are clean, well-maintained, replenished with consumables, and ready for our guests to enjoy their stay. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Report concerns that need attention to the Housekeeping Supervisor in a timely manner

    • Take pride in following protocol by meticulously and consistently ensuring our tents are clean, well-stocked, and ready to welcome our guests

    • Work effectively with a team of housekeepers, under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, to ensure all tasks are successfully completed

    • Demonstrate the stamina to work long hours in varying weather conditions

    • Interact regularly with co-workers and guests in a genuine, professional manner

    • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve independently or in collaboration with your team and/or supervisor

    • Eagerly seek opportunities to ensure guests have everything they need

    • This includes changing bedding with fresh linens, sweeping floors, sanitizing the personal space, dusting, and organizing

    • Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards

    • Other duties as assigned

    • Prior housekeeping experience preferred
