Getting Here and Getting Around

Canyonlands regional airport is just outside the town of Moab. The airport in Grand Junction also provides regional air service in the area. Interstate 70 is nearby which offers connection to the local area and beyond.

The town of Moab offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment. The weather at this location varies by season. Spring is typically cool with occasional rain. Summer brings higher temperatures and reduced precipitation and during the fall and winter you can expect cooler temperatures. ULUM Moab is a high desert location which means low humidity, warm temperatures during the day, and cooler temperatures at night.     As a Line Cook, you are an integral part of our food and beverage program. You will work with other Back of the House team members to deliver on culinary standards in our live fire kitchens.     This is a unique opportunity to work outdoors close to some of the country’s most popular national parks. The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for all onsite food & beverage operations including, but not limited to, restaurant, bar, micro-market, and specialty coffee. The F&B Manager will forecast, plan, and manage all F&B orders, supervise team members, and track and oversee departmental finances. The goals of the Food & Beverage Manager are to maximize sales and revenue, drive guest satisfaction, and create high levels of employee engagement.     Fresh air, nature, and working with a great team!     • Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers, etc.
    • Unloading and storing deliveries
    • Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed
    • Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations
    • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve independently or in collaboration with your team and/or supervisor
    • Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Friendly, team oriented, and customer focused

    Additional Information

    • This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.
    • Food Handler (ServSafe) Certification 
      • Must be obtained by property opening date or before starting any work involving food or alcohol handling
    • This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently.
    • Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.
    • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind. 
    • This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
