About The Wilson Hotel - Residence Inn Big Sky
Visiting the quaint resort town of Big Sky, Montana, it is hard to miss The Wilson Hotel, a structure which now serves as the epicenter of the "Town Center" with its 129 guest rooms and commanding views of Lone Peak. Only just opened last year, this property has already become a fundamental part of the local physical and social ecosystem. Known colloquially as “The Wilson,” the hotel is, in actuality, a Residence Inn by globally renown hotel chain, Marriott International.
COVID-19 Update: To keep our team members as safe as possible, we have installed clear plastic barriers at the Front Desk, and provide disposable masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer. We do adhere to the Montana Governor's mandate to wear masks in all public areas. Additionally, health checks are performed via temperature reading each morning with all on-property staff members.
The Employee Experience
Here at The Wilson, we pride ourselves on our commitment to our guests and one another as teammates. We believe in the adage "work hard, play hard," and although we are sure to always go the extra mile for our customers, we also never miss an opportunity to get out and explore all of the amazing things to do right in our backyard of Big Sky.
Here at The Wilson Hotel, we are an upbeat, hard-working, and incredibly dynamic team. We pride ourselves in always going above and beyond to create unforgettable experiences for our guests, whether visiting Big Sky for the first time, or seasoned locals.
To one another, we are respectful, inclusive, honest, empathetic, and always enthusiastic to lend a helping hand. We see each new day as an opportunity to learn and grow. The challenges and demands of each department are shared by the others. We are serious in our commitment to our teammates and to our hotel's success.
Nevertheless, we believe in the adage "work hard, play hard," and realize the importance of cherishing the amazing locale we are so fortunate to call home. We actively involve ourselves within the broader community and seek to give back to a town that provides so much for us.
If these values resonate with you, and you can see yourself meshing well amongst our staff, we encourage you to apply. We would be thrilled to welcome you as a new member of The Wilson Hotel team!

Getting Here and Getting Around
Part of the charm of Montana lies in its remoteness and untouched natural beauty. Of course, those conditions can also present challenges in getting around easily. With the lack of public transportation available within the area (compared to larger, more metropolitan settings), a reliable and four-wheel-drive vehicle is certainly recommended.
However, there are options for those without a personal means of transportation. The Skyline bus route makes frequent trips to and from the larger city of Bozeman and makes several stops within the town of Big Sky itself. There are also numerous private shuttle companies which offer transportation to and from the airport, and even a local taxi company, which offers rides throughout the area.
For initial transportation to the hotel, simply convey any questions or concerns you might have to our management team, and we would be happy to present all available options.
The Wilson Hotel is fortunate to be situated in one of the most amazing launchpads for adventure and outdoor recreation. In the town of Big Sky, Montana, there is no shortage of activities to experience -- whether for the first time or the thousandth. Locals and visitors alike are drawn to the area's wealth of both seasonal and year-round outdoor pursuits: hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, rafting, kayaking, zip-lining, hunting, golfing, fly-fishing, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fat biking, sledding, cross-country skiing -- you name it, and chances are this little mountain town has it.
Not to mention the many cultural and community events that happen throughout the year, such as Music in the Meadow, Farmer's Market, annual Artisan Fair, the newly-minted Peak to Sky and Moonlight Musicfest music festivals, and of course the PBR Rodeo.
With so many avenues for adventure and recreation at your doorstep, it is no wonder why so many Wilson Hotel team members are happy to call Big Sky home.
