The Tyler Place Family Resort in Vermont is one of the top all-inclusive family destination resorts in the U.S. It is known for its award-winning, state-of-the-art family vacations, children's programs, facilities and activities. We offer seasonal positions across a variety of departments, a fantastic work environment, and a unique and fulfilling summer experience.
Located in Highgate Springs, Vermont on the northern shores of Lake Champlain, only a few miles from the Canadian border. The surrounding area is rural and hilly and composed primarily of summer camps, lake shore, small farms, and dense hardwood forests.

- Staff are provided housing on the property and will have one or two roommates. The largest staff accommodation houses 12 people and the smallest houses 3 people. All accommodations have shared bathrooms, laundry, living spaces, wifi, and are within walking distance to work. All housing is included at no extra cost. Similarly, all staff meals are included at no extra cost.

Room and Board
On-site housing, meals, and use of the resort facilities are all included! About 120 of our 200 staff live on the property for the entire summer. Staff live in cottages or dorms and most will have one or two roommates. The largest staff accommodation houses 12 people and the smallest houses 3 people. All accommodations are within walking distance to work and have shared bathrooms, living areas, and laundry. All come equipped with wifi, heat, AC (for multistory units), beds, dressers, linens, and cleaning supplies.

All housing, meals, and use of the resort facilities are included! Employees are also eligible for a bonus at the end of the season.
Getting Here and Getting Around
While there is very limited public transportation in this part of the state, we provide staff shopping trips, outings, and rides throughout the summer. We can also pick up and drop off staff at the Burlington Airport, bus station, or train station (about 35 minutes away).
Personal vehicles are welcome and we have staff parking next to all the accommodations. Bikes, which we provide, can be used to get around the resort.
For Fun
We're located about 3 miles south of the Canadian border on one of the largest lakes in the US. Water activities like canoeing, kayaking, fishing, waterskiing/wakeboarding/wakesurfing, paddleboarding, and swimming are popular. You can also enjoy the surrounding forest, unspoiled lakeshore, and diverse wildlife.
About 30 minutes inland are the Green Mountains, which are popular destinations for hikers, mountain bikers, climbers, and all types of nature enthusiasts. The college town of Burlington, with its fantastic restaurants, bars, and shops is located just 35 minutes south.
Montreal, Quebec is about an hour drive to the north. Many sporting events, concerts, and festivals take place there throughout the summer months.
Current Job Openings
Bartender
Should have previous experience behind a bar (willing to train somewhat if necessary). Must be impeccably honest, professional, responsible, assertive, outgoing (this is a very social job) and able to work in an often busy and fast-paced environment. Ability to mix a variety of drinks and solid knowledge of wine and draft beer.
Other responsibilities include: set-up (and break-down) of weekly parties and other special events; keeping the bar area well prepped, stocked, and neat and clean; and set-up and inventory of bar. Must be comfortable checking for legal ages when in question, including fellow staff members. May also be assisting with some of the daytime adult activities and sports events.
Hours: 4:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Dishwasher/Prep Cook
This position is responsible for the sanitation of the kitchen as well as washing of all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, etc. The dishwasher is also responsible for the general cleanliness of countertops, sinks, floors, as well as maintaining trash and recycling and weekly deep cleaning projects. May also be responsible for prep work (peeling and chopping vegetables, helping with plated appetizers, etc.) as required by cooks and chefs.
Hours: There are two shifts. 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Dining Room Server
As a Dining Room Server, you'll assist guests in our all inclusive buffet-style dining rooms by providing efficient and professional service. While servers do not take food orders, they are responsible for taking drink orders (cocktails, beer, wine, coffee, tea, water, and non-alcoholic beverages), setting and clearing tables, bussing dishes, and performing side duties like folding napkins, refilling salt/pepper shakers, and cleaning service areas. Some service will occur in outdoor dining areas. Strong communication skills, restaurant experience, and a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.
Hours: Full-time (40 + hours/week) with shifts covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
