The Creede Hotel & Restaurant is a charming, historic destination offering a unique blend of timeless hospitality, delicious food, and vibrant entertainment. We also offer four charming rooms for rent above the restaurant, as well as a picturesque outdoor space with a stage for live music.

Creede, Colorado, is a historic mining town nestled at the headwaters of the Rio Grande River. Surrounded by the San Juan National Forest, it offers stunning canyons, hiking trails, waterfalls, and camping spots. With its rich history and breathtaking landscapes, Creede is the perfect destination for outdoor adventure, relaxation, and exploration.

We have a mixture of housing throughout the area of Creede. Ranging in size and price per room. Each employee that is approved for housing will have their own room, this is a seasonal job, you are renting the room. Bathrooms are shared and typically the number of users per bathroom is under 3 persons. Each house has laundry on site. Each house is just steps away from the beautiful nature in Creede. Some residences are a closer to the business. Our longest walk from one residence is 15-20 minutes. Driving is under 2 minutes.

About The Creede Hotel & Restaurant

As we gear up for the summer 2026 season, we're excited to introduce new features, last year we added an exciting brand-new bar to our restaurant, and a fresh menu is designed yearly to cater to all tastes. Our offerings will include lunch, dinner, and bar bites, ensuring a fantastic dining experience for every guest.

In addition to our restaurant and bar, we are proud to own our own and operate catering services at several event venues in Creede. Room and Board

We are sometimes able to offer comfortable, well-maintained employee housing options just 5-20 minute walk from The Creede Hotel & Restaurant. Much shorter if riding a bike or driving. Being in the City area of Creede makes it easier and more convenient to get to work. 

Our housing includes single occupancy bedrooms in a variety of shapes, sizes and locations, all with shared bathrooms and living spaces, providing a private space for rest while sharing common amenities with your fellow employees. Each employee rents a room in a shared home. 

Each housing unit features full kitchens, allowing you to prepare your own meals and save on dining expenses. Outdoor spaces are available for relaxation or socializing, providing a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful Creede weather. There is also parking available for residents.

Pricing for our rooms range from between $400/month to $800/month, with all utilities included (including water, sewer, electricity, heat, trash service and internet, but not a TV service provider), so you can enjoy the convenience of an all-inclusive rental without worrying about extra costs. 

The housing options are just a short commute from work, making it an ideal option for those looking to stay close to the action while enjoying all that Creede has to offer. A couple of our properties are about a 15-20 minute walk to the Hotel & Restaurant, the views are amazing. 

Our room availability is based upon several factors such as: availability when you get to Creede, prior occupants already placed, prior employees schedule, maintenance, improvements, how we are placing our incoming folks to room together, general timing, etc. These are most of the factors that we consider if you are offered an available room. As the season progresses, lower cost rooms become more scarce. The local community also has a myriad of housing options available. The local Creede Facebook pages are a wealth of information for anyone seeking housing options outside of what we might be able to offer to our seasonal employees.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Where is Creede located?

Creede is located in Southwest Colorado, about an hour west of Great Sand Dunes National Park and just west of the Rio Grande National Forest. Public transportation is not available, but walking and biking around town is easy. The grocery store, health clinic, gas station, restaurants, and bars are within walking distance.

  • 2 hours to Gunnison

  • 1hr 15m to Alamosa

  • 1hr 15m to Pagosa Springs

Driving:

Creede is easily drivable, and while a car is not required for work, we recommend having one for personal use and to explore the area. Parking is free and plentiful. The drive is mountainous, so be prepared for narrow lanes, tight curves, and elevation changes. Snow usually melts by May, but late spring storms can happen.

    Expeditor (EXPO):

    Our restaurant is both busy and large. The “Expo” position is an important role requiring focus, perfection, attention to detail, organization, the ability to handle pressure, knowledge of computer screens and to be quick.

    The “Expo” is the ‘connector’ of the FOH Staff and the BOH Staff. You will be the last line of defense in making sure that our great food is leaving the kitchen looking perfect, organized and complete before arriving at a table of guests.

    Our business has a busy restaurant and four cute, period hotel rooms that need constant upkeep and cleaning.

    You'll start the day by:

    1. Assessing the Hotel needs and workload, planning your day and prioritizing the cleaning, stocking and laundry duties for the day.

    2. We have some restaurant facilities and laundry that need cleaning  and related maintenance, then you'll proceed to clean the hotel rooms that are turning for the day.

    3. You will have checklists to reference and maintain consistency.

    • Some cleaning and laundry experience is preferred

    • Communication skills are required. Your team and GM will need to be kept up to date on the daily assessments, workloads and restocking needs.

    We're a large, busy restaurant and, as you can imagine, we make a lot of things dirty.     As our FOH Supervisor, you'll play a key role in both day-to-day service and the overall coordination of front-of-house operations. While you'll still be serving tables alongside your team, you’ll also take a step back when needed to ensure smooth, efficient service and consistently excellent guest experience. You'll see where support is needed and lend a hand or display your leadership skills to make sure we are operating at our best.

    Job Summary:

    Your responsibilities will include setting a tone of excellent service for the “elevated” dining experience that we aim to provide, creating the weekly staff schedule, identifying and communicating restock needs to the General Manager, and supporting communication between the FOH, BOH and Events teams. As the schedule lead, you'll also be involved in planning for events to ensure we're fully staffed and set up for success. This role is ideal for someone who is a natural leader because they genuinely care about providing great hospitality and supporting their team.     Job description:

    Host:

    Our restaurant is large and busy, and the Host makes sure that we are running efficiently and effectively while simultaneously identifying any possible upcoming hiccups so that the team can deploy any mitigation. We employ a technical, data driven reservation and table system that maximizes efficiency and effectiveness for our team and for our guests.

    The Host is the conductor of our operation during service: greeting guests, answering phones, setting a informational and positive tone with each pre-shift meeting, coordinating the FOH and BOH and using our systems and technology to ensure a smooth and successful night.

    You will start and lead every pre-shift meeting; you will know who is coming to visit the restaurant and know when they arrive. The Host also shares in the tip-out structure of our restaurant sales.

    • 1+ years of experience working in a restaurant or the willingness to learn

    Last winter we built a brand-new bar that was a hit in our town. The bar is spacious and great place if you’re looking to enjoy craft beers and cocktails with friends. Located downtown right on Main Street, we are the go-to spot in town.

    Whether our guests are meeting up with some friends or waiting for a table, everyone enters right next to our new bar, and the Host and the Bartenders are the first of our staff to greet everyone joining us for the shift.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Making our drinks to the standards we set, in the timelines we need, while entertaining guests and upselling items

    • Your bar area needs to be clean and tidy

    • We expect the applicant to be a friendly person who will greet guests as they walk in the door.

    • Our bar area has it’s own tables and we serve lots of meals there. This is an opportunity for the right bartender to maximize their effort.

    Qualifications:

    • 1+ years of experience as a Bartender

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Tactfulness and the ability to know when to lead and be led

    • Excellent customer service skills with a hands-on, guest-first attitude

    • Knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and POS systems

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Complete background check

    Runner /Busser:

    In this customer facing role, you will be the 'right-hand-person" for our FOH Staff. This position plays a key role in freeing up the FOH Staff to be with their customers.

    Your primary duties:

    • Always look presentable to our guests

    • Have experience in offering great customer service

    • This position requires lots quick thinking, fast walking and lifting

    • Ability to communicate effectively to FOH Staff in a busy environment

    • Know the menu and the table layout of our establishment

    • Have a keen eye for what guests may need or are missing when you approach a table

    • Have a keen eye for what may need to be restocked during the daily service

    • Resetting tables rapidly to our standards

    Qualifications:

    • Some restaurant experience is preferred

    Our Servers are a bit different that some server jobs that you’ve had in the past. Here, you have access to a small team to help you create amazing experiences for our guests. Your FOH team will be made up of bussers, runners, hosts, leads, expo, etc, that are there for the single purpose to make great things happen for our guests and to assist you in the constant elevation of the customer experience.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience as a Server

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Excellent customer service skills with a hands-on, guest-first attitude

    • This position requires lots of fast walking, lifting and carrying of items

    • Ability to delegate to a small team

    • Tactfulness and the ability to know when to lead and be led

    • Knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and POS systems

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
