Not only is it set against a stunning Rocky Mountain backdrop, but its location is centrally located amongst the some of the state's most stunning wilderness, making it the perfect base camp for exploration!

About Taylor Park Trading Post
Taylor Park Trading Post is located 1/2 mile from the east shore of Taylor Reservoir (a 2,040-acre mountain lake that is deep, clear, and full of fish!) and abounds with magnificent views of the Sawatch Range. The area around the resort is ideal for camping, hiking, backpacking and ATVs, fishing, hunting, photography, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. This is an excellent place to come to get away from it all, relax in the great outdoors, and enjoy the endless possibilities for outdoor recreation.
Taylor Park Trading Post includes a General Store, Gift Shop, Rental Cabins, Full hook-up RV sites, ATV rentals and a Restaurant. The general store offers a variety of convenience items (i.e. groceries, ice, gas, air, water...) as well as all the necessary camping supplies, fishing tackle, and other miscellaneous items needed to enjoy all the recreational activities in the area.
We are an outpost of comforts in a wild, beautiful and remote section of the Rockies!

Ideal Candidate
We are a family-owned and operated organization, and a teamwork attitude is a necessity. Successful candidates understand the idea of working when you work and playing when you play. Preference will be given to individuals who can stay the whole season. We depend on you!
Room and Board
Individuals are placed in housing around the property and will be discussed in interview. We have apartments above the cafe and a separate bunkhouse with shared living spaces. Employees are placed two to a room.
Shared kitchens are provided, and you are responsible for making your own food.
If you have your own RV, we have full hookup RV sites. Ask about details.
Because of the shared living spaces, cooperation is appreciated.

The Taylor Park Trading Post is located 34 miles northeast of Gunnison, Colorado. We are 38 miles west of Buena Vista by way of Cottonwood Pass, CR-209, and east of Taylor Reservoir at the junction of CR-742 & CR-765.

Opening day is May 22nd!
The job entails: Washing dishes. Putting away dishes, kitchen utensils and pans, etc. Cleaning the kitchen and your own area. Operating the fryer, helping the cooks plate dishes and helping with prep.
Must be friendly, motivated, trustworthy and reliable.
Housing available and can be discussed during interview. We are open 6 days a week 8am-8pm. Hours are: 7:30-2 and 1:30-7. Closed on Mondays.

SEASONAL WORK May 19th - September 10th, 2026.
Serve Safe Certification required.
Cooking and preparation of food for our customers. Our menu includes burgers, sandwiches and steaks. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All restaurant staff are asked to help out in any and all necessary roles and duties to help the café run smoothly and efficiently. Dishwashing is part of this roll.
Must be friendly, motivated, trustworthy and reliable, and are required to work efficiently with the front of the house.
Housing will be discussed in the interview. We are open 6 days a week 8am-8pm. Shifts are from 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm, 6 hour shifts.

The job entails: Working in the ATV Rental shop, Checking customers in and out, taking reservations, changing oil, tires, general maintenance, and power washing machines daily.

Housing available and can be discussed during interview. We are open 7 days a week 8am-8pm. Shifts are from 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm, 6 hour shifts, 6 days a week. (1 day a week off)

Looking for a summer retreat in the mountains?
SEASONAL WORK May 5th - October 15th, 2026.
The job entails: Cleaning cabins daily, each day the amount needed to be cleaned changes. We need someone who can clean thoroughly but quickly. You would need to be able to dust, clean entire kitchens, make beds, sweep, mop, do the laundry from the previous guests, and clean bathrooms. 30-40 hours per week with one day a week off.
Must be friendly, motivated, trustworthy and reliable.
Housing will be discussed in the interview. We are open 7 days a week 8am-8pm, with one day off. Housekeeping hours will vary, depending on the number of cabins to clean.

Store Clerk
SEASONAL WORK May 15th - September 10th, 2026. MUST BE ABLE TO STAY THW ENTIRE SEASON!
Takes lodging reservations and checks guests in and out of cabins. Stocking store, fish & tackle supplies, selling groceries, deliver rollaways to cabin guests, etc. Should enjoy customer service and interacting with guests.
Housing available and can be discussed during interview. We are open 7 days a week 8am-8pm. Hours are: 8-2 and 2-8.
