For two decades, Suncadia has been, arguably, Seattle’s most beloved nearby mountain resort. But our story actually traces back to the last ice age, whose push and pull shaped our beautiful landscape, which nurtured the native Yakama, prospectors, coal miners and pioneers before us. As a member of the Kittitas Conservation Trust, Suncadia is committed to honoring this extraordinary history and land through sustainable building practices, prioritizing open spaces, and preserving pristine forests and meadows. Out of our 6,400 acres only 2,000 will ever be developed – ensuring the enjoyment and beauty of the land for future generations.

Suncadia Resort employees love where we work, and share a passion for hospitality, and being outdoors. Due to the convenient location of our staff housing, there is little separation between work and home during the season. Your teammates will quickly become your closest friends, on and off the clock. For this reason, it’s important that you’re flexible, communicative, and work well with others. 

Suncadia provides apartment-style housing. The apartments are 3 bedroom/2 bathroom with full kitchen and shared living space. Each bedroom has two occupants. The apartments are newly built, having opened in summer 2026. Housing is shared rooms, nonsmoking, and for $600 per person, per month, which includes Wi-Fi and utilities. Homes are co-ed, meaning both male and females reside in one unit with shared bathrooms. 

While the housing is located across the street just off property, given the size of our property (6400-acres), a personal vehicle and/or bike is highly recommended. Housing is located between the towns of Roslyn & Cle Elum.  Employees can access a free public transit system (limited services, but is available) and a paid bus that can take them to Seattle.

Suncadia is located in the Washington Cascade Mountains just off I-90, about 80-miles east of Seattle.

For Team Members arriving by air:

We recommend that you fly into SeaTac (SEA) airport and take the paid airporter bus to Cle Elum. More information can be found here: https://airporter.com/shuttle/schedules/yakima-to-sea-tac/

For Team Members arriving by car:

Whether you are coming from the east or west, we located off exit 80 on Interstate-90. From the east, coming off the freeway, you will go right onto Bullfrog Road. From the west, coming from the freeway, you will go left onto Bullfrog Road.

We are a big property located in between the small mountain mining towns of Roslyn and Cle Elum. We highly recommend that team members have a personal vehicle and/or bike.  Once in the Cle Elum town center, team members can access a free public transit system (limited services, but is available) and a paid bus that can take them to Seattle.

Prior to arrival, please make sure you have communicated with the Suncadia People Services team to arrange housing check-in and/or pick-up from the Cle Elum Airporter Stop at Warrior's. Typically, housing check-in is completed during normal business hours Monday - Friday.

Suncadia is located in the heart of Washington's Cascade mountains. People around here like to say that we're halfway to everywhere. Nearby you can explore lakes, state parks, trails, and the Wenatchee National Forest. Check-out the small town charm of Ellensburg, Roslyn, and Cle Elum. For fun daytrips (or long weekends), take advantage of the incredible Pacific North West. Whether you want to explore Eastern Washington's Columbia Plateau; the waters, islands, and coasts of Western Washington; our national parks - Mt Rainier, Olympic, or North Cascades; or skiing/snowboarding at The Summit at Snoqualmie, the great outdoors await you.
