Fall • Winter • Spring at SouthFork Lodge | Lowman, Idaho

Summer is winding down. The crowds thin out. The leaves change. Snow starts covering the mountains. And SouthFork becomes a completely different place. We're looking for a few hardworking, adventurous, multi-talented people to join us for fall, winter, and spring—with on-site housing available.

A Little About SouthFork

SouthFork Lodge is a historic mountain lodge established in 1937, sitting on five acres along the South Fork of the Payette River in Lowman, Idaho, surrounded by the Boise National Forest.

We're small by design: 13 guest rooms and cabins, a full-service restaurant, lounge, café, and an adventure operation offering everything from side-by-sides and mountain bikes to winter snowmobile experiences.

Fall, winter, and spring are quieter here. That's part of what makes these positions different.

Instead of hiring someone to do one thing eight hours a day, we're looking for people who enjoy doing a little bit of everything.

One morning you might be preparing guest rooms. That evening you could be helping in the restaurant. The next day you might be getting guests outfitted for an adventure, checking equipment, helping around the property, or getting everything ready for the next group arriving at the lodge.

We're especially interested in finding a second person who is handy, mechanically inclined, comfortable with tools, and capable of tackling property projects, maintenance, repairs, and small remodels without needing someone standing over their shoulder.

This Could Be Perfect For...

Couples who want to work and live together.
Online students who can take school wherever there's Wi-Fi.
Outdoor people who'd rather spend their days off skiing, fishing, hiking, hunting, soaking in hot springs, or exploring Idaho.
Hospitality people who are tired of being told, "That's not your department."

At SouthFork, sometimes it is your department. 😂

The Schedule Is Different, Too

We can build schedules around the lifestyle.

Want to live at SouthFork full-time? Great.

Want to work your hours over several consecutive days, stay on property while you're working, and then head back to Boise for several days? We can make that work too.

We're more interested in finding great people than forcing great people into a traditional schedule.

What We Offer

  • On-site employee housing

  • 40 guaranteed hours per week, per full-time employee

  • Part-time opportunities also available

  • Flexible and condensed scheduling

  • Employee meals while working

  • Potential for year-round employment

  • Restaurant, lodging, housekeeping and adventure experience

  • Opportunity to learn multiple sides of a growing hospitality business

  • Boise National Forest as your backyard

We're not a corporate resort with 300 employees and narrowly defined job descriptions.

We're a small lodge that's growing quickly, which means we're looking for people who take ownership, solve problems, help each other, and aren't afraid to jump into something new.

For the right person—or the right couple—SouthFork isn't simply somewhere to clock in. Check us out on Facebook and Instagram.

Come live in the mountains. Help us build something. Have an adventure of your own along the way.

Positions available immediately.

Team members have the option to stay in our on-property six-bedroom bunkhouse. Some employees choose to work full-time by condensing their shifts into 3.5-day workweeks and travel back to Boise.
