POSITION SUMMARY:


The Digital Media Producer brings the Snowshoe Mountain brand and guest experience to life through compelling photo and video content, producing, managing, and distributing digital media that supports marketing campaigns, guest communications, public relations, partnerships, resort operations, and business unit initiatives. This role also oversees the year-round content strategy for guest-facing digital channels, including on-mountain digital signage and in-room television, and requires a highly organized visual storyteller who can balance planned productions with timely, weather-dependent opportunities in a fast-paced mountain environment.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES
This position is responsible for the following job results.


• Produce, edit, and distribute photo and video content across digital, social, advertising, PR, and guest-facing channels.

• Capture and create content showcasing seasonal conditions, events, amenities, guest experiences, and mountain activities.

• Develop short-form and platform-specific content optimized for multiple channels and formats.

• Plan, coordinate, and execute photo and video shoots, including talent and logistics management.

• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support resort initiatives and business objectives.

• Maintain brand consistency across all visual and editorial content.

• Manage year-round content programming for digital signage, Snowshoe TV, and other guest-facing media channels.

• Support public relations and partnership needs through high-quality visual assets and organized media libraries.

• Operate, maintain, and manage production equipment, digital assets, archives, and production workflows.


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS


Required:
• Demonstrated experience producing and editing professional photo and video content via a portfolio or production reel.

• Proficiency with video editing and photo-editing tools, preferably Adobe Creative Suite.

• Strong understanding of composition, lighting, audio, pacing, and visual storytelling.

• Understanding of digital marketing, brand consistency, audience needs, and channel-specific content requirements.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in file management, scheduling, and project follow-through.

• Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of projects.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
• Experience producing content for an outdoor, sports, travel, hospitality, or resort brand.

• Experience capturing skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, events, or other fast-moving activities.

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom.

• Drone production experience and current FAA Part 107 certification.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS


• The position requires working in changing weather conditions, including cold, snow, rain, heat, and wind.

• The position may require walking or hiking over uneven or challenging terrain while carrying production equipment.

• Early-morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.


Office Environment:
• Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.

Ensure that buildings and HVAC equipment in assigned areas are maintained in proper working condition, operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all state and federal codes, insurance requirements, and manufacturer guidelines. Job Responsibilities:
• Perform all prescribed maintenance and service on equipment per manufacturer, federal/state, insurance, and company requirements.

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems to minimize downtime; assemble and test machines to verify issues are resolved.

• Inspect HVAC equipment and facilities during operations, making necessary adjustments and notifying supervisors of any abnormalities.

• Record and document all maintenance activities in compliance with company standards; maintain historical logs and complete detailed work orders for billing.

• Conduct periodic testing and inspections to ensure safe, dependable operation of HVAC systems.

Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare function space: Vacuum, remove trash, set up supplies (tables, chairs, AV equipment) per Event Order, ensure AV equipment works.

• Our Ski Patrol is frontline safety on our mountain playground. The purpose of the position is to provide a safe skiing and riding environment for our guests. Snowshoe also provides emergency care for those skiers, riders, and/or other guests at our facility who are injured, lost, or in need of assistance. Ski patrol monitors and reports any and all conditions of trails, ski lifts, and snow coverage of the slope areas.

Job Responsibilities:

• Guest Safety: Provide emergency care, assistance, and information, ensuring a safe skiing experience.

• Quality Care: Administer basic first aid and CPR, and coordinate advanced care and transport for serious injuries.

• Enforcement: Monitor adherence to the Skier Responsibility Code, inform guests, and manage related literature.

• Trail Preparation: Mark hazards, check and pad man-made objects, and ensure safe conditions before opening.

• Operations Checks: Inspect skier transport systems, report safety issues, and monitor equipment wear and tear.

• Trail Closure: Conduct end-of-day sweeps for lost or injured guests; arrange transport in inclement weather.

• Dispatch: Manage patrol dispatch, handle incident reports, and coordinate emergency responses.

• Transportation: Arrange and assist with transportation for injured guests, including driving if needed.

• Professional Standards: Maintain high skiing/riding standards, including toboggan handling and OEC certification.

• Guest Service: Assist at lift terminals, check tickets, and address guest service issues.

• Evacuations: Execute emergency ski lift evacuations using NSPS techniques and resort plans.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Driving:

• Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

Preferred Experience:

• Ability to ski or ride snowboards adequately to perform duties in a proficient manner.

• Minimum of 3 years of skiing/riding experience. Level 2 and 3 positions available to qualified candidates

• A candidate must have a minimum certification of First Responder, EMT or Paramedic to be considered for inclusion in our training program.  They must register with the NSP pay dues, and purchase an OEC book and pay a onetime administrative fee.  They must participate in approximately 6 weekends of training before taking the test.

• Passing this test ensures our level of training is up to par with the National Ski Patrol guidelines and local standards of care. It involves passing three components:

• Written test with a minimum score of 70%

• Ski and toboggan test on the snow

• Practical scenarios – acting out how you would care for an injured guest on the hill

• To maintain one’s status in the National Ski Patrol a patroller must attend a yearly eight-hour Outdoor Emergency Care Refresher and pay yearly dues.  Attendance at seminars, NSAA meetings and NSP functions are highly recommended.

Specific Certifications, Licenses Required:

• Must have Outdoor Emergency Care certification or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.

• Must have a current CPR card.

• Must complete snowmobile and ATV training upon arrival.

Emergency Medical Technician Class

This is a class provided by the National Department of Transportation and regulated by the state to provide a standard of care for injured and/or ill people requiring transportation by ambulance.  The class takes 120 hours to take initially, usually offered by ambulance squads or fire departments in the evenings, two nights a week, three to four hours per night.  The test to become certified involves a written portion (minimum score of 70%) and practical stations.  A candidate must pass all of them to be considered an EMT.  After passing, an EMT is required to attend regular continuing education classes.  The topics are as follows:

• Inspect assigned slopes by skiing, riding, or snowmobile prior to morning slope opening.

• Prepare trails before opening to provide safe skiing conditions by marking hazards with signs, ropes and bamboo poles.

• Checking to see that all hydrants lift towers and other man-made objects are marked with the appropriate skier awareness devices.

• Checking the work of others.

• Responsible for disciplinary actions toward patrollers following snowshoe disciplinary policy.

• Delegating chores to be done in order of importance.

• Raising, turning, or digging out skier awareness devices

• Communication with groomers and snowmakers involving the decision to open or close trails

• Including packing snow with skis, or boards and shoveling to make trail passage possible

• Provides continual operation check on skier transport systems by observing and reporting that all ramp conditions, stop gates, signs, are satisfactory and in the proper place.

• Reporting any safety hazards, damage or excessive wear and tear on all aerial lifts and ground tows which involves having a general knowledge of the function of these machines, obtained through training and experience

• Scanning the slopes throughout the shift looking for hazards obstacles and/or areas of concern that may not have been present at opening, remedy any such situation as it arises or close the slope/trail/feature.

• Provide efficient and complete closing of open trails by completing a daily sweep skiing, riding, or on a snowmobile at the end of the day, visually scanning the sides and woods for lost or injured guests, while moving ski patrol gear in such a manner not to impede grooming and snowmaking operations.

• Have a familiarity of the Snowshoe Weather Hold Policy, and the ability to interpret a weather radar loop for the potential of inclement weather.

• In the event of inclement weather, guests will be transported via company vehicles. The number of guests needing transport will be determined and communicated to the ski patrol dispatcher to arrange transports with snowshoe PBX.

• Transporting or arranging transport for guests at the end of the ski day back to their desired location.

• Throughout the shift offer assistance, advice and/or directions to guests that appear to need assistance.

• Ensuring timely first-aid and care for injured by maintaining patrol dispatch when assigned.

• Receiving calls (via telephone and/or radio) and dispatching patrollers, equipment and adequate transportation to accident sites, and recording all incidents, both on paper, and in our computer database.

• Documentation of lift emergencies, weather hold, trail openings/closings, lost children, daily vehicle and snowmobile check offs.

• Notifying the right department for premise, vehicle and other maintenance needs.

• Responsible for facilities close and secure lockup of premise at the end of shifts.

• Assign house cleaning duties of the patrol facility and vehicles, vacuuming, disinfecting vehicles, dining areas and patrol medical equipment when needed.

• Assign patrollers to handsaw/chainsaw and remove leaning or fallen trees and other woody debris that pose a potential hazard to users of ski/bike trails.

• Coordinate with the bike patrol/bike park manager to assign patrol staff to assist with new trail construction, bridge building, trail maintenance, feature inspection/documentation and repair.

• Arranges transportation (via ambulance or van) for injured guests by contacting families, friends, and/or medical facilities and assisting including possibly driving the party to vehicles, condos or houses.

• Communicate specific directions for assisting EMS agencies to patient transfer areas.

• Maintains a professional standard of skiing and/or riding by skiing or riding at the National Ski Patrol System’s senior level.

• Skiers and riders should also be skiing or riding at the NSPS senior toboggan handling level.

• Maintain current OEC certification through attendance of an annual ski patrol refresher and payment of dues.

• Provide a guest service function at lift terminals by assisting lift attendants and mountain guides by checking tickets, and regulating riders to use the lift to its maximum efficiency

• Assisting with guest service problems utilizing the snowshoe cares program.

• Performing and assisting with Incident Investigations as requested by Management.

• Perform emergency evacuation of ski lifts by using NSAA lift evacuation techniques and following area managements lift evacuation plan.

• Involved in lift evacuation training.

• Familiarity with Snowmaking equipment. Knowledge of how to assist with snowmaking when needed.

• Contributes to Team Effort by assisting other departments to accomplishing related results as needed other duties as assigned.

Guest complaint recovery

Able to deal with guest’s complaints and actions on the hill with courtesy and compassion. And able to make the final decision with the actions we will take to resolve the situation.

Ability to supervise an incident investigation.

The patrollers taking on this assignment meets with our risk manager and other necessary personnel periodically to keep abreast of current trends in lawsuits.  They take on the additional responsibility of performing our incident investigations, compiling parameters that define when an incident investigation is needed and meeting with our Risk Manager to review line items.

Evacuation Team Leader

The patroller who assumes this task is a participant in our yearly lift evacuation practice.  This involves maintaining our rope log, keeping evacuation plans for both summer and winter current to meet the guidelines required by ANSI, NSAA, our area’s insurance carrier and area management.  They must record rope usage, inspect the equipment for wear, order new equipment as needed and keep abreast of any upgrades in the industry. 

Driving:

• Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

Preferred Experience:

• Job Specific Background check

• Maintain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation card.

• Current OEC instructor credentials.

• Must complete the snowmobile and/or ATV (UTV) training course as well as be an approved driver on the Snowshoe Driving Program before operating a company vehicle.

• Annual snowmobile and ATV (UTV) training refresher

• Valid driver’s license to be considered for the Snowshoe Driving Program

Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with regulations, control costs, and maintain our standards.

Driving:

• Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

Preferred Experience:

• 2 years’ experience with lift operations or 2 years experience in a supervisory role

• Snow Grooming: Operate grooming machines and attachments to ensure a quality snow surface.
