This job description is intended to provide an overview of the primary responsibilities, qualifications, and performance expectations associated with the Spa Receptionist position. The Spa Receptionist reports directly to the General Manager.

Education & Experience

• This is a trainable position, and on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidates.

•  High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

• Previous Front Desk experience is preferred but not required.

• Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn established Front Desk procedures.

•  Must be dependable, responsible, and committed to maintaining a high standard of guest service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Registering and assigning rooms to guests.

• Confirming phone and online reservations.

• Responding to guest needs, requests, and complaints with professionalism and care.

• Collecting payments from guests and maintaining accurate records of occupied rooms and guest information.

• Communicating important guest details to designated departments.

• Building rapport with guests to ensure a welcoming and friendly experience.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described below represent the requirements necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

• Physical ability to stand the majority of shifts.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift throughout the work shift.

• Ability to work independently and maintain consistent attention to guests.

Qualifications

• Previous Front Desk experience preferred but not required.  

• Dependable and responsible.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to follow instructions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.

• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are considered a distinct advantage. 

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, or special events as required.
