Spend your winter driving through the Colorado Rockies, meeting guests from around the world, and becoming part of a genuine working ranch experience. This is more than a transportation job—you'll be an important part of our winter guest experience, helping guests safely get to and from YeeHaw Tubing Hill while representing the friendly, professional Western spirit of Saddleback Ranch.

The Position

Saddleback Ranch is hiring a Winter CDL Driver - Transportation and Guest Experiences Specialist for the 2026/27 winter season. This position requires a Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement.  This is not a sit-behind-the-wheel-all-day position. We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, working outdoors, and being part of a hands-on team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safely transporting guests to and from Steamboat Springs to Saddleback Ranch/YeeHaw Tubing Hill

  • Completing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Assisting guests with loading and unloading

  • Providing friendly, professional customer service

  • Answering guest questions and helping them understand their activity experience

  • Monitoring guest safety and following all transportation procedures

  • Keeping the bus and transportation areas clean and organized

  • Communicating with the reservations and activity teams regarding guest transportation

  • Assisting with YeeHaw Tubing Hill operations when needed, including filling in as a lift operator during staff breaks

  • Helping with other winter ranch and guest-experience duties as needed


About Saddleback Ranch

Saddleback Ranch is a family-owned, 4th-generation working cattle ranch located just outside Steamboat Springs, Colorado. In addition to our ranching operation, we offer horseback riding, snowmobiling, and snow tubing. Our team works hard, looks out for one another, and takes pride in providing genuine Western hospitality to our guests.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, professional, friendly, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment. A genuine interest in the outdoors, ranch life, and the Western way of life is a plus.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement

  • Safe and responsible driving habits

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • Reliable and dependable work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Comfortable interacting with guests of all ages

  • Ability to work outdoors in winter weather

  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays during busy periods

Season & Schedule

  • Winter seasonal position

  • Mid-December 2026 through the end of the winter season in March 2027

  • Approximately 40+ hours per week

  • Work schedule will vary based on guest reservations and winter operations

  • Must be comfortable working weekends and holidays during the busy winter season

Compensation

  • $25–$30/hour, depending on experience

Housing

A private studio apartment is available for the activity driver. The apartment includes a kitchen, laundry facilities, internet, and utilities. Meals are not included.  Housing details and cost will be discussed during the interview process.

The Experience

You'll spend your winter in Steamboat Springs, working outdoors and alongside a team that operates a busy family-owned ranch and winter adventure business. You'll have responsibility, variety, and plenty of interaction with guests while becoming part of the day-to-day operation of Saddleback Ranch.
