About Ofland

**FREE PET-FRIENDLY HOUSING & STAY ON BONUS**

Does 1.87 million acres of picture-perfect landscape sound like your kind of fun?

Our park is on just about 20 acres and has 52 rooms and 5 campsites. The park’s public spaces and amenities include a drive-in movie theater, an oversized pool + spa, an outdoor lodge with in-ground propane firepits, a General Store, a food truck, guest laundry facilities, and 2 luxury bathhouses.

We are located 2 miles west of the town of Escalante within the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, which is nestled between Bryce Canyon National Park, Dixie National Forest, and Capitol Reef National Park, halfway down Utah’s Scenic Byway 12!

Our season starts in March and ends in October yearly.

The Employee Experience

Our staff at Ofland Escalante is what differentiates us from the rest. You are what makes this place so incredible.

Our starting pay is at least $16/hour (well over double Utah’s minimum wage!). A full-time employee can expect to work four to five 8-hour shifts a week. Uniform shirts, sweatshirts, and hats are provided.

So let us talk you out of it and tell you what’s hard!

Here’s what to expect:

  • Spring gets muddy and is a pretty windy season. Don’t let your socks blow away while they are hanging out to dry.

  • Summers are HOT, but it’s a dry heat! You’ll end some days with sweat-crusted shirts.

  • During monsoon season, it rains HARD once a day for 30 – 45 min. Don’t get caught!

  • Fall brings cold nights and mornings with freezing temperatures and lots of falling leaves. You only need a sweatshirt and a coat for the mildest season.

While we’re all on the same team, each job is a little different. Check out more about each position in the job listings.

Ideal Candidate

We like to think of ourselves as a group of unicorns; unique, tough, and often found in the wild. If you take pride in your work, consider yourself a team player and have a thirst for adventure, you’ll fit right in!

Our employees interact with guests daily; a genuine smile and helpful attitude goes a long way in making the guest stay a special one. We like to hire mature levelheaded adults and in return do our best to provide our employees with a healthy work/life balance.

We work hard, but it is truly satisfying seeing your work come to life in the experiences our guests have with us. We care about you and this place and our ideal team members do too.

Room and Board

  • All employee housing is FREE, PRIVATE, and PET-FRIENDLY.

  • Employee housing = an additional $3/HR!

  • Self-contained housing (van-lifers, RV-roamers, adventure-seekers) have access to RV sites with hookups.

  • Provided employee housing can accommodate singles or couples.

Please let us know your specific housing needs when applying.

Employee Perks

Our team receives discounts on merchandise, food + beverage on property, family discounts on rooms, free 24/7 laundry, high speed Wi-Fi, and full use of our luxury bathhouses! Did someone say outdoor showers?

Getting Here and Getting Around

Ofland is roughly a 5-hour drive from Salt Lake City, UT and Las Vegas, NV. The park is 2 miles from the town of Escalante and it is highly recommended that you have a vehicle. There are no public transportation services within the area.

Escalante is a small town with no traffic lights, yet it has everything you need to live comfortably:

  • Clinic + pharmacy

  • Small grocery store

  • Mercantile with organic options

  • Locally farmed produce

  • Car mechanic

  • 2 gas stations

  • 10 restaurants

For Fun

If you’re looking for adventure, you’ll love the Escalante area. There are miles and miles of hiking trails and dirt roads through mountains and desert, reservoirs and slot canyons, hoodoos and petroglyphs, and beautiful rivers/creeks.

Our staff normally spend their days off exploring the area searching for their next favorite spot.
