About Levy Restaurants @ Big Bear
Levy Restaurants at Big Bear Mountain Resort is the food-and-beverage partner for the ski resort. Levy specializes in operating dining and hospitality programs at sports, entertainment, cultural, and destination venues, with an emphasis on food quality, service, and the overall guest experience. At Big Bear Mountain Resort, that means Levy's team is responsible for running and supporting all of the resort's on-mountain dining outlets. The resort's dining program includes quick-service restaurants, grills, bars, coffee spots, and other food-and-beverage concepts at Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, and Snow Valley during the winter seasons.
The Employee Experience
Living and working in a resort town is a unique experience. Hospitality is the number one industry in the Big Bear Valley, and during the winter season, we all work together as a community to provide a great experience for the people traveling to the mountain for vacations, school breaks, or even just a day trip.
Levy at Big Bear Mountain Resort has the unique opportunity to not only follow one company’s values, but two. At Levy, our values are Nice, Passionate, Innovative, and Inclusive. Of these, the value we strive to embody most is Nice. We believe that the best work is done by the nicest people.
At Alterra, our values are Collaboration, Authenticity, Purpose, and Empowerment. Each day, the entire team at Big Bear Mountain Resort works to embody these values as we create a memorable experience for our guests—from the moment they park in one of our lots to the moment they reach the peak of one of our mountains.
One of the best things about working at the mountain is having a sense of purpose each day. We meet amazing people from all over the world who share a passion for the sports and activities that many of us are passionate about as well. We work in a place that people travel from around the world to experience on vacation, and we have the privilege of enjoying it every day.
Living in the mountains can sometimes feel secluded, especially when it takes nearly two hours to reach a larger city. However, there is a sense of peace that comes with arriving in the valley—with the mountains surrounding you and nature right at your fingertips—that is difficult to find anywhere else.
Working at Big Bear Mountain Resort is more than simply having a job in hospitality. It is being part of a community, creating experiences for people from around the world, and having the opportunity to live and work in a place that many people only get to visit for a few days each year.
Ideal Candidate
We are passionate about hospitality. The ideal candidate will have the same passion for wanting to make the best experience possible for the guest that join us during the winter on the mountain. They will strive each day to find an opportunity to create a return guest.
