Mammoth Mountain is California’s highest lift-served four-season resort and playground with a summit at 11,053 ft. With 300 days of sunshine annually, the Eastern Sierra offers infinite recreation and scenic beauty all year long. Winter in Mammoth typically runs from early November into May. Nestled on the border of Yosemite National Park, Mammoth Mountain offers endless outdoor play.

June Mountain offers some of the most spectacular views in the Sierra Nevada. Room and Board

Mammoth runs a large housing operation, with over 450 beds. We charge employees a nightly rate, which is deducted directly out of paychecks. Mammoth does not offer meal plans, although we offer significant food discounts. Employees working Food & Beverage jobs get a free meal with every shift worked. Once you get a job with us, we work with you on available housing options and share more detail on rates and photos of available units. While the Mammoth employee housing may seem large, it is still limited to the number of beds food & beverage receive, so it is highly recommended to search for housing in the local market as well.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Like many mountain resorts, we stand alone in a pristine, remote place. The easiest ways to reach Mammoth are flights into Reno, Nevada, to the north, or Los Angeles, California, to the south. Eastern Sierra Transit provides bus routes from Reno and Lancaster, which can be reached from Los Angeles by train. Additionally, there are flights during winter and spring into Bishop Airport (BIH), 45 minutes to the south. Eastern Sierra Transit also offers free bus service within the town of Mammoth Lakes.

    Summary:  Performs functions in warehouse involving receiving, picking, pulling and loading of materials in a safe manner. Drives company vehicle to transport products, supplies, mail and cash to and from specified destinations.  

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Withdraws merchandise and supplies from the warehouse.

    • Verifies load against products ordered; prepares delivery tickets or shipping papers when applicable.

    • Loads products, supplies, mail and cash onto vehicle; drives to designated locations; unloads truck, and distributes delivered items as instructed; picks up product, supplies and cash funds to be returned to branch or designated location; obtains and approves receipts or delivery slips; returns to warehouse and unloads vehicle distributing items as directed.

    • Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area.

    • Retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.

    • Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.

    • Exhibits exceptional communications skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others. Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.

    • Collects tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.

    • Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.

    • Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.

    • Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.

    • Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.

    • Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.

    • Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy. Follows HACCP guidelines.

    • Completes all required documentation, reports, logs as required.

    • Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.

    • Takes orders from customer and prepare items requiring short preparation time.

    • Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.

    • Completes orders from steam tables and grill and serves customers at multiple stations.

    • Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.

    • Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.

    • Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy.

    • Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.

    • Resolves customer concerns.
