The Lazy L&B Ranch

The Summer Job You'll Remember Forever! Dubois, WY

The Lazy L&B is a smaller, traditional, family owned and operated ranch. If you're looking to escape the grind and breathe a little, then this is the place! Our valley is less inhabited now then it was when it was first homesteaded and we're surrounded by over 100,000 acres of wildlife habitat, national forest and Indian reservation.

The Lazy L&B Ranch is located in the Wind River Valley of Wyoming about 30 minutes from the town of Dubois. The ranch is framed by the Owl Creek range of the Absaroka's on one side and the Wind River mountain range on the other side.

About The Lazy L&B Ranch

The focus of The Lazy L&B Ranch is our horseback riding program as there's no better way to explore the diverse terrain surrounding the ranch. There's also fantastic fly-fishing in the area. Our maximum number of guests is 35 and we strongly encourage staff to converse, dine and interact with our guests as much as possible.

We live and work as a family for the season, creating incredible memories for our guests and for ourselves!

Ideal Candidate

Our best employees love the outdoors, enjoy meeting new people and have no problem putting in long hours and helping out wherever and whenever they're needed. We live and work together closely for the season so keeping drama to a minimum is key. Enjoying your work and having fun while doing it is important because we spend a lot of time working. Western attire is required.

Room and Board

Due to our remote location all staff lives at the ranch. There are some shared cabins where you have your own bedroom but will be sharing the cabin with 2-3 other people. There are also some single cabins which are assigned to senior employees. The bath house is about 20 feet from staff cabins.

Staff is served the same delicious meals as guests. The fridge in the staff room is stocked with leftovers for you to help yourself on the chef's day off.

Getting Here and Getting Around

A lot of our staff drive themselves to the ranch which gives you a bit more flexibility to explore surrounding areas. If you prefer to fly, there are airports in Riverton (RIW) and Jackson (JAC).

For Fun

  • The opportunity to meet new people from around the world in a unique setting offers an unforgettable experience.
  • Fishing Wyoming's untouched rivers, camping, hiking and riding incredible and diverse terrain.
  • Tuesday night square dance (or shooting pool) at the Rustic Pine Tavern is always fun!
  • Jackson Hole, Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are less than 2 hours from the ranch so easy to explore on days off.
  • The outdoor recreational opportunities in the Wind River Valley are spectacular.

Our Jobs

Our season runs from around May 20th to mid-September. We have some flexibility with dates but preference is given to applicants that can work the full season.

Western attire must be worn by all employees when interacting with guests.
