About Indian & Forest Acres Camps

As part of the community at Indian and Forest Acres Camp, you'll be part of something bigger than yourself—helping kids gain confidence, try new things, and create unforgettable memories, all while having just as much fun as they do.

The Employee Experience

Spending a summer at Camp isn’t just a job—it’s an experience as fulfilling for you as it is for the campers you work with. Every day is packed with adventure, laughter, and meaningful moments that will stick with you long after summer ends.

We hire staff from all over the world, each bringing their own unique skills, interests, and backgrounds. You’ll have the chance to connect with other staff with unique worldviews, gaining exposure to new cultures and traditions that make the camp community so special.

Your time off is just as important as your time on! Each week, you’ll get one full 24-hour day off, plus two additional nights off, giving you time to rest, recharge, and explore.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for enthusiastic, caring, and motivated individuals who are ready to dive in and make a difference. You don’t need to be a camp expert—just someone who loves working with kids thrives in a team setting, and is up for a challenge.

At camp, you’ll be more than just a counselor—you’ll be a mentor, a leader, and a role model. Whether you’re leading activities, cheering kids on as they try something new, or just being there when they need a friend, you’ll play a huge part in creating unforgettable experiences for them (and for yourself).

We welcome people from all backgrounds, skills, and experiences. What matters most is your willingness to show up, be present, and give your all. If you’re ready for a summer full of adventure, laughs, and memories that’ll last a lifetime, we’d love to have you on our team!

Room and Board

Housing is provided to all employees. Counselors live in cabins with 6-8 campers and one other counselor.  All of the cabins are equipped with showers, toilets, and electricity.

Every day at breakfast, we have a hot meal served, as well as oatmeal, and a full breakfast bar which includes a variety of cereals, yogurts, juice, and fresh fruit. At lunch, we serve soup daily, as well as a hot meal. We also have an amazing salad bar that is overflowing with options. The salad bar is also open at dinner.

We are able to accommodate specific allergies, such as gluten and dairy-free and vegetarian diets. We are not a Kosher camp. We are NUT FREE.
