Hotel Earl is a boutique hotel in the heart of Charlevoix, blending elevated design with genuine hospitality. Our lively rooftop bar and live music scene create a vibrant guest experience. We’re seeking passionate team members—from front desk to bartending—who take pride in service and want to grow in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Charlevoix, Michigan sits on a narrow strip of land between Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix, split by a channel and drawbridge that swings open all summer long for passing boats. Hotel Earl is right in the heart of downtown, walking distance to sandy beaches, local shops, and the ferry to Beaver Island.

Getting Here and Getting Around
Employees are responsible for having their own reliable transportation to get to Charlevoix, as transportation is not provided. Once you’re here, getting around is easy! Our employee housing, Hotel Earl, downtown Charlevoix, restaurants, shops, beaches, and everyday essentials are all within walking distance. You can enjoy much of what Charlevoix has to offer without having to get in your car!
For Fun
Spend May through October in beautiful Charlevoix, Michigan! When you're off the clock, enjoy Lake Michigan beaches, boating and kayaking, hiking and biking trails, local festivals, live music, unique shops, great restaurants, and unforgettable sunsets. Summer brings nonstop activity downtown, while fall offers gorgeous colors and a slower, cozy Northern Michigan atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to work for the season, meet new people, explore Northern Michigan, and make some great memories along the way.
Current Job Openings
Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to hotel standards
Change linens, make beds, and restock amenities
Ensure all rooms meet quality and cleanliness expectations before guest arrival
Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or room damages promptly
Maintain cleaning carts and storage areas in an organized and tidy condition
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Assist with laundry duties as needed
Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and team members
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required (we provide training)
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods
Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
Must be at least 18 years old
