Our resort provides a perfect base camp for outdoor enthusiast looking to spend time outdoors or exploring beautiful Glacier National Park during days off.

We are looking for Raft Guides, Office Staff, Housekeeping Staff, Cafe Staff and Bus Drivers (CDL required). If you want to work in an amazing place with amazing people then Great Northern Resort could be for you!

Room and Board

Limited onsite housing is available.

We enjoy what is called "Guide Camp", for a minimal water and electric fee per summer, Staff is welcome to camp or in some cases occupy our limited housing (structures) options until they fill.  You will have access to showers, toilets, a kitchen are with refrigeration, water and electricity (by your own extension cord) as well as a campfire area where the staff enjoys time together. Services are very rustic and limited and feels like camping, but can be made to be as nice as your willing to put into it. Plus, its the least expensive living option you will find!

Employee Perks

Staff have access to recreation equipment such as Stand Up Paddle boards, Kayaks, and Rafts as well as the ability to jump on any Commercial Trip we take so long as there is room for you (and often even a friend!). Enjoy the River as much as you can, but the best part is that we also have over 700 miles of STUNNING trails and backcountry access within a few miles. Glacier National Park is your playground and many of the staff have trail knowledge and camping recommendations to get you out and enjoying Montana as much as the Management Team does!

In addition, we are only 15-30 miles from several towns that host fun events all summer! Things like as live music at busy Farmer's Markets, local Breweries & Distilleries, as well as unique events such as weekly outdoor rodeos and river races. Whitefish, one of Montana's premier ski towns, boasts incredible restaurants, shops and entertainment as well as City Beach at Whitefish lake for lounging, swimming and boating and is only 32 miles away! (although, we have some incredible lakes only 1 mile from our Resort as well!)

We guarantee you will not run out of things to do here, let alone all the fun you will have while on the clock!!

Getting Here and Getting Around

Getting here can be a bit tricky as Montana is a large State and a 20 minute to 1 hour drive is seen as "close" or "casual". Traveling by car is strongly recommended so you will have the ability to keep yourself stocked on groceries and entertainment as West Glacier can be a bit small at times. If you don't have your own vehicle, you will be fine as we have basic amenities and entertainment within walking distance as well as the friends on staff you will make, but public transportation is very limited in this area. You will be glad you have your own vehicle.

If you are flying, Glacier International Airport is only about 20 miles away and we can arrange to pick you up if need be.
