We operate a small RV Park and Cafe, which serves locals as well as tourists during the busy summer season. The largest portion of our business is in the Cafe, which seats 25. Employees do a variety of duties and work together as a team.
We are located in the mountains in rural setting 2 hours from Anchorage, Alaska. No night life or stores nearby, so employees are able to make and save more money.

About Grand View Cafe & RV Park
We are open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serve omelets, specialty sandwiches, homemade soups, salads, burgers, brick oven pizza - as well as a comprehensive selection of Asian dishes, all cooked to order and using quality ingredients. We offer espresso coffee and specialty teas to go with our fresh baked pies and desserts as well as fruit smoothies, beer and wine.

Room and Board
We offer non-smoking employee housing. Our dorm-style rooms sleep one-two and there is a common room that all employees share. The common room has an employee bathroom, seating area, TV, grocery items, cooking set up, and refrigeration for employees to prepare their own meals when not on shift.
There is a nominal room and board fee of $200/month for those living on site. There is also a $125 security deposit which is returned at the end of the season, provided living space is left clean and taken care of.
Internet is on-site and does allow for streaming such as live chat and watching lower resolution movies. We encourage you to use your phone as a hotspot.

Another fun activity - Grand View sponsors either a locally guided Glacier trek on the Matanuska Glacier or a River Rafting trip on the Matanuska River, one per employee.

Getting Here and Getting Around
If flying to Alaska, Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage is where you would arrive. If communicated well enough in advance, we can often be in Anchorage on a particular date to pick you up. There is also a bus service that runs several days a week and will bring you right to our door. Check rates at:

Bringing a vehicle is not necessary, although convenient for picking up supplies as needed or sightseeing.

From our yard there is hiking, biking, berry picking, wild life viewing. Nearby activities are river rafting, ice climbing and treks. Nearby lodges and businesses also hire summer seasonal help and there are opportunities to meet and plan excursions throughout the season while making new friends from around the world!

Breakfast & Lunch Cook
Are you a person who enjoys preparing and cooking food? This position opens the restaurant, turns on the grill, stocks the prep table, prepares breakfast meals to order. Change over to lunch menu requires switching breakfast items to lunch items in the prep table, prepares lunch meals to order, washing and cutting of produce and salad items and filling condiments and many other duties required in the operation of the restaurant. Must be an early riser and a minimum age of 18. Prior experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train someone who has a willingness to learn. Pays $13.00 per hour depending on experience, 35-48 hours per week. Preference is given to someone who can work May 20 through September 15, 2026. HandyMan
We really want to expand from just an RV Park to having cabins built. So we are looking for someone with carpentry skills and a desire to be creative and build living areas that are unique for the guest. You will be able to join an awesome team, make friends, enjoy beautiful Alaska, and work mostly on your own with the team to assist you.
Dishwasher / Groundskeeping
This is a variety position - Must enjoy cleaning, have an eye for detail, work independently and be self-motivated . Daily duties include, cleaning RV park’s shower house, restrooms, restocking inventory, watering and upkeep of the grass areas and flower beds. Dishwasher duties require busing tables, keeping the dishes washed and put away and general help in the operation of the restaurant. $13/hr. 35-48 hours per week. Preference is given to someone who can work mid-May through September 15, 2026. If you are available close to the start and finish dates please apply.
Grill & Pizza Cook
We are looking for a person who enjoys preparing food, Knowledgeable in food safety. The Afternoon/ Evening Grill & Pizza Cook shift starts with checking inventory and doing food set up and food prep for pizza making, specialty burgers, specialty sandwiches, and salads for the evening meals. This person will later assemble, cook and serve these meals to order. Other job requirements are keeping a clean and efficient work area, cleaning of cook's dishes, helping other staff members as time allows. Good communication with the waitstaff, prep staff, and management is required. Minimum of 21, years of age, Pay $13.00 - $14.00, depending on experience per hour. Works 35-48 hours per week.
