The Employee Experience

Hear what our associates are saying about being part of the Grand Teton Lodge Company team....

"If you are a college student seeking adventure, I definitely recommend working for GTLC this summer! Every day was a bucket list day in Grand Teton National Park while I worked there. How many college kids say they got to go cliff jumping after work?!" Charlotte, Louisiana, Colter Bay Marina

"Living and working in Grand Teton National Park has elevated my life and is truly an experience unlike any other. Some of my most incredible friendships and fondest memories were formed during my time spent there. Some of my favorites were kayaking in lakes at the base of the dramatic mountains, hiking the most stellar trails I’ve ever been on, backpacking with incredible people and star gazing with tremendous views of the Milky Way. Living in the park is an inspiring journey that has made me more mindful, appreciative and passionate about life."   Stephanie, Connecticut, Flagg Ranch

"What I liked was the sense of community the work brought. We were a small department who saw each other every day, but beyond that, the 500 or so seasonal employees all lived in the same village in the national park so there was a close bond between all of us." Jeremy, Ohio, Jackson Lake Lodge

"I really enjoyed living in a different place, meeting guests from all around the United States and from around the world.  I also had the opportunity to do a lot of hiking and backpacking while I was there, which is an activity I enjoy sharing with other people." Rachael, New York, Colter Bay Village

Ideal Candidate

If you are looking for an experience of a lifetime that you'll talk about for years to come and that can in turn provide exceptional experiences for our guests... we want you to join the team. If you are self-motivated, hardworking, and engaging, Join us! We have employed family generations who have worked and lived their best Summer out here in the Tetons. Our returner rate is above 50%.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Plane: As the only commercial airport located in a National Park, Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) is a "one of a kind" way to arrive to your new summer home. Grand Teton Lodge Company offers free employee pick-up from the JAC airport.

Jackson Hole Airport is the closest airport to our location. We do not recommend arriving at other airports and completing the remainder of your travel by bus, this is a timely and uncomfortable option that will seldom save you any time or money.

Jackson Hole Airport, WY, (JAC) – 28 miles

Car: Employees are welcome to bring their own vehicle. A Grand Teton National Park entry sticker will be provided upon check-in so you can come and go from Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks freely.

Once on property: A free shuttle runs between the properties of GTLC and Flagg Ranch as well as to the town of Jackson.

The closest “large” cities are one or more hours away and include Jackson WY, Idaho Falls ID, and Salt Lake City UT.

For Fun

Have you seen this place? Seriously, search for Grand Teton National Park online and see for yourself.  We work hard, but we also encourage you to get out and explore the park as much as you can.  Not to mention, Yellowstone National Park is our neighbor.

Planned employee events include: parties, camping, hiking, movie nights, bingo, kayaking, park tours, raft trips, horseback rides, lake cruises, employee 4th of July parade, employee art show, mid-season all employee party, league softball games and more!
