Nestled in the majestic Rocky Mountains, Granby Ranch is 90 miles northwest of Denver in Granby, Colorado. We are 25 minutes from Winter Park, 25 minutes from the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and 8 minutes from the town of Granby. Granby offers a western hospitality and a friendly small-town vibe that makes visitors feel right at home.

A security deposit of $325 (refundable) and an admin fee of $75 (non-refundable) are due upon check-in. We recommend paying at least one week's rent upon check-in but do not require it. Having a car is recommended but not required; employee transportation is provided during the winter season between the housing units, work and the grocery store. Housing inspections are conducted biweekly. Employee housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of units are pet-friendly.

Get certified to tech all types of bindings in Granby Ranch’s rental shop.

Leads the Slope Safety program, using best practices in regard to marking and padding.
Trains patrollers on snow safety, rope rescue, lift evacuation, and other departmental safety protocols. Facilitates practice drills.
Creates and implements other safety programs/protocols.

Supervises patrol members in their daily and seasonal duties.
Manages performance of patrollers and conducts performance reviews.

Develop familiarity with all the terrain and trails at Granby Ranch.

Oversees preventative maintenance inspections of patrol equipment.

OEC Instructor certification required.
National EMT (or higher) or state of Colorado certification required.

Minimum of five (5) years prior ski patrol experience required.

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have valid U.S. driver's license and be insurable under the company’s auto insurance.
Expert skiing/riding ability required.

Help oversee the daily indoor operations of the Ski & Ride School (SRS).
Assist SRS management in creating and managing the daily instructor schedule.
Assign and oversee daily operational duties, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the SRS facility.
Rotate instructor support assignments (boot fitting, ski technician duties, equipment assistance, etc.) to promote fairness and operational efficiency.
Ensure the SRS facility, instructor areas, and guest spaces remain clean, organized, and prepared throughout the day.
Oversee classroom and break area organization to ensure smooth transitions for lessons returning indoors.
Supervise children during instructor breaks or when instructors require temporary assistance.
Monitor children who require a temporary break from their lesson and safely reintegrate them into their class when appropriate.
Coordinate with the On-Snow Supervisor to reunite children with their lessons when classes are away from the base area.
Contact parents or guardians when children need to be picked up due to illness, injury, restroom accidents, behavioral concerns, or other circumstances.
Assist with scheduling and coordinating school programs, field trips, and other SRS programs.
Support front desk operations, including lesson sales, guest check-in, and customer service as needed.
Respond to guest questions, concerns, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.

Salary Range: $19 -$28 per hour depending on certification
POSITION SUMMARY:
Ski and/or Snowboard Instructors are responsible for providing a safe, enjoyable, and educational learning experience while representing the values and standards of the Ski & Ride School. Instructors teach skiing and/or snowboarding using current PSIA or AASI teaching methods, adapting lessons to each guest's individual abilities, learning style, and goals. They are expected to create a positive environment that builds confidence, promotes skill development, and fosters a lifelong enjoyment of snow sports.
Guest safety is the highest priority in every lesson. Ski/Snowboard Instructors are responsible for making sound decisions regarding student progression, selecting appropriate terrain, and providing instruction that challenges guests while ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and engaged. Instructors are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, work collaboratively with fellow staff and management, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience both on and off the snow.
