Employee Perks

Enjoy free rides on the Tram whenever you please, connections to local tour operators, and working in your new favorite place!

Getting Here and Getting Around

Juneau is a unique location! Settled along the Gastineau Channel, we live along the ocean in a deep fjord at the base of steep mountains. Just over the mountains there are 1,500 square miles of ice fields! Because of those ice fields, there are no roads out of Juneau. As the locals say, to get here you have to take a boat, plane, or be born here.

The Goldbelt Aerial Tramway is located in downtown Juneau, within easy walking distance of most of the downtown area, and within biking distance of Douglas Island. There is a local public transit system that services other areas in Juneau, including the Mendenhall Valley where the majority of Juneau's housing is. Many of our local employees utilize the bus system to get to and from work. The downtown bus terminal is just a five-minute walk from our location.

For Fun

Spend your days off exploring glaciers, kayaking through fjords, hiking mountain trails, or simply enjoying the view from the top of Mount Roberts. Juneau offers endless adventures — and with the Tram as your workplace, you’ll experience it all from a truly unique vantage point.

Enjoy spending your summer in a place with a rich cultural heritage, working for a company owned by descendants of those who have lived here for thousands of years.
