Gage Hotel is looking for a dependable, motivated, and experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team in Marathon, Texas!

Located in the heart of West Texas, we offer a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful setting surrounded by breathtaking desert landscapes, small-town charm, and genuine Texas hospitality.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Previous line cook experience is required.

• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.

• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Work well with others and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.

• Must be dependable, hardworking, and available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Daily Tasks & Duties:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.

• Set up and stock cooking stations before each shift.

• Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces.

• Cook and plate dishes accurately and efficiently during service.

• Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food handling and storage.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.

• Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and minimizing food waste.

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service.

• Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and properly storing food.

• Assist the culinary team with additional kitchen duties as needed.
