Room and Board

Getting Here and Getting Around
🚗 By Car (Most Common and Flexible Option)

From Seattle:
Olympic National Park is about 2–3 hours away, depending on your route.-
Route 1: Drive south on I-5 to Tacoma, then take WA-16 west to Bremerton and WA-3 north to WA-104, crossing the Hood Canal Bridge to US-101.

Route 2 (Scenic Ferry Option): Take the Seattle–Bainbridge Island Ferry or Edmonds–Kingston Ferry, then drive west on WA-104 to US-101.

Once on US-101, you can access the main park areas, including Port Angeles (the gateway to Hurricane Ridge), Lake Crescent, the Hoh Rain Forest, and the Pacific coast beaches.

The Company may be able to assist with transportation to and from the airport and bus depot for pick up and drop off at the beginning and end of the work season.

If you are traveling to Lake Crescent Lodge, or the Log Cabin Resort, there are a variety of bus and rail options. We recommend traveling via the Dungeness Bus Line, Rocket Transportation, Straight Shot light rail, or local bus for those more versed in public transportation in the area.

Current Job Openings
Ensure receipt and completion of revenue and general Maintenance Requests (MRs) as required by Guest Services and employees
Identify and ensure that all materials and tools are available at job site for required repair/maintenance work
Inspect and ensure that all MRs are completed as planned
Ensure that repairs and inspections of the pool (if applicable) and surrounding grounds are completed in a timely manner
Ensure that the daily designated work plan is completed and reported to the GM
Ensure that all identified departmental reports are completed as scheduled for review by the GM and Director of Maintenance Operations
Ensure that the General Manager is apprised, on a daily basis, of the status of all ongoing projects
Tasks may include painting, carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, masonry, concrete, heating (if applicable) , welding, roofing and other related jobs
Assist on assigned maintenance and mechanical duties for buildings and associated facilities, furnishings and equipment
Capable of independent “hands on repairs” in all maintenance disciplines
Efficiently and in a timely manner, manage parts inventory for general stock
Comply with safety policies and procedures including when lifting, climbing, etc.
Ensure polite, knowledgeable and timely customer service when responding to visitor inquiries

• Assist the Restaurant Manager (RM) in overseeing all aspects of the front of house operation including ensuring that all Servers are trained and assisting the guests in a courteous, friendly and efficient manner per Company standards
• Ensure that the Host/Hostess area is clean and organized at all times and assist them during peak and busy periods. Ensure organization of daily restaurant reservations
• Oversee and monitor opening and closing side work responsibilities with Servers and Bussers on a daily basis and sign off on duties as required
• Supervise the Bartender and Server check-out and cash closing procedures
• Assist with the coordination of special tour luncheons collaborating with Sales and Marketing Specialist and Restaurant Manager as required and coordinate schedule changes requiring additional time
