Award Winning Local Ski Shop Seeks Experienced Back Shop Help

Epic Mountain Sports, a busy, well respected, family owned ski shop located in Downtown Winter Park, CO is searching for an experienced ski repair technician to join our team!

We operate an award-winning ski tune & repair shop and have built a reputation as the “go-to” spot for locals & guests alike. We are well known for providing a premium standard of service and are searching for someone with great attention to detail & a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work to fill this position.

Applicants MUST have the following qualifications:

· 2+ Years prior experience working in a ski tune shop.

· Strong time management, communication & organizational skills are required.

· Familiarity with tune & repair process to include: Mounting & remounting a large variety of alpine binding models. Some experience with tech bindings is preferred, Edge Repair, Base Repair, Familiarity with operations & maintenance of tuning machines: ceramic disc edger, stone & belt grinders, etc.

Duties include:

· Completing all customer tunes & repairs before leaving each shift.

· Addressing any repair issues directly with customers

· Tuning & repairing rental fleet equipment as needed

· Maintaining a clean, safe & organized back shop area.

· Preforming routine maintenance & troubleshooting of tune & repair machinery.

· Attending trade shows & demo events to test equipment & provide feedback.

· Communicating clearly with coworkers & customers regarding repair work, order needs, tune shop rates, etc.

Additional Details:

· While this will primarily be a back-shop position, you should still think of yourself as a member of the team. We value each of our team members & while each has their own unique duties, we expect all members to pitch in & assist with customer needs & rental fittings as needed during peak times.

· Ability to work evenings is mandatory. We offer overnight service which means that you will often work into the night (sometimes as late as 10pm to complete overnight repairs) other days when the tune shop is slow you will be out by 7pm. This work structure allows plenty of time to play on the mountain during the day & crank through tunes or repairs in the afternoons & evenings when interruptions are limited.

· Ability to work holidays & weekends is also required. We operate in a tourist community, therefore some of our busiest times fall over traditional holiday or vacation periods.

· While this is a seasonal winter position there is an opportunity to work year round transitioning to bike tune & repair in the summer months if interested.
